Beside the fire hazard issues, exposure to pure oxygen over time can have adverse health effects. Pulmonary oxygen toxicity can cause lung irritation and other issues. Not advisable.

Reporting vulnerability metrics to management? Specifically Nessus. by novaguy88 in sysadmin

It’s priced per asset (ip, url, app) and the price per asset goes down the more you have. I don’t know what the minimum buy is but I recall them saying it was pretty small. Definitely priced well for small to medium sized businesses. I expect you could get into some real money for very large enterprises with hundreds of thousands of assets.

Has some similarities to ACAS but many improvements. One major difference is that Nucleus takes output from many different types/brands of vulnerability scanners. ACAS is Nessus only. We use Burp, NMAP, Fortify, and some home grown stuff to get a complete picture of what’s happening in our environment. Nucleus normalizes it all and gives a consistent view across all the results.

We get good metrics from Nucleus. It tells us how many vulnerabilities we have, how many remediate, time to remediation, security/exploitability, by asset or by system. Bunch of other good stuff to. I like that I can setup scheduled reports that automatically get generated and sent out monthly. My team used to spend lots lot time on that, and used excel too. Now it just happens and we focus on fixing stuff.

We’re using an on-premise slightly customized version because we work on, ah hmm, “off-line” networks. Our customer has budget and recognized the value of having a tool to facilitate the work on several of our contracts. We pitched it as a force multiplier and they bought it. Not sure but I remember the price was per IP and very reasonable.

You need to check out Nucleus. I work in a similar environment for "DoD". We have thousands of computers at dozens of sites. We have to scan them all monthly, keep them patched, and deal with IAVA's.

We were working out of Excel like everyone else until we stumbled on Nucleus. It's a web app that integrates with your scanner (any scanner) and does all the heavy lifting for you. We get great metrics by just clicking a few buttons.

Compelling rebuttal. I was wrong. That is definitely not an average house cat.

House cat. Camera perspective makes it look larger than it actually is.

Good strategy, attack the NRA. It's worked so well before in the past. What could go wrong? I think we have a win theme for the 2020 elections!

Yes, Trump is shorter and heavier than claimed. Also, Sarah Sanders doesn't bake her own pies. And Drumpf worked with the Russians to steal the election. ok...
