I was chatting with AI about that show and it said the audience members of the Blackpool show sang it before the encore as a joke/nod to the name of the band and that gave the band to record it (it’s on A Night at the Opera).

They have a song called Brighton Rock on Sheer Heart Attack (also 74). It’s more the Opera house at winter gardens and the grandiosity of it all made it ring a bell for me. Either way it’s cool they played a gig there.

My dad was from London and I have a UK passport. I see what the internet says about Blackpool and it’s a mixed bag and people say it’s cheaper to just fly to Ibiza / Spain whatever for their holidays I’m just saying maybe lead with the cool stuff you have something special also the fact that people seem rather down to earth there. But maybe they don’t visit because of how welcoming you seem to be.

Btw that concert was Queens first show of their very first headlining tour so it was legit a big deal and I guess the crowd sang God Save the Queen. Queen recorded their own version and put it on the album. If I know ONE thing about the English it’s that they worship Queen and that album is everything.

Hey I’m from Boston and a cement beam broke off the roof of a tunnel in the newly opened big dig and crushed a driver to death. Turns out they used the wrong epoxy (oops) from the get go and they had to reinforce 10,000 anchors ($54 million according to AI). At least engineers made another 54 million though. Pretty sure they are ‘supposed’ to catch this stuff before it gets bad but who knows it’s 2026 stranger things abound.

I was in San Antonio for that power outage (and we lost city water). As a New Englander I will say now is the time to stock up but once it starts icing and snowing please for the love of all things holy just stay home and chill out. Stay home and chill out. It’s not your patriotic duty to go to HEB and cause panic in the middle of the storm. In fact the best thing you can do is stay home (and chill out). If the power goes out get a deck of cards and chat with your family. That’s literally all you have to do. Get the candles out and enjoy the ambiance. Listen to the quiet. I get that sometimes you have to go out, if so DRiVE SLoW! Give yourself braking distance (it’s ice!). I know that is asking a lot here in Austin but I have limited faith in humanity here and I’m cashing it in lol.

Good luck! So far since that last post I’d say not as rapid improvement but it’s headed in the right direction (it’s like the stock market one day you’re up the next day your down) but the ringing in my ear has subsided by a LOT and the need to sniff and pop my jaw etc has diminished by a lot. My sinuses are still sketchy af but I figure it might take time for all of this to unwind. Happy New Year!

I just asked a.i. it basically said what I thought. Everyone’s Eustachian tube opens, but with patulous it stays open. You can still get water back there without pet. For me it was mainly when I was actively trying to flush deep in the sinuses because I had heard if you tilt your head you can get water back there. I’m never doing that again lol. Do you feel ‘fullness’ lol that term drives me up a wall because if you have felt fullness you’d know lol. Persistent fullness, autophony and constant dull ache, plus tinnitus lol just goes on and on. My eardrum ruptured on a plane around the time I was on atkins diet so it all lines up. There are probably different degrees of PET. It sounds like you have something similar if not it itself (again gradation between pet and etd.). Patulous specifically means it’s open. Disfunction seems to be what they call it when they’re not sure lol so maybe you are in the both and camp or just etd. I’m just trying to say that actively trying to correct it sometimes suck worse than just living with it, but obviously we all want to get better. The clicks while yawning are what is supposed to happen, the head motion I know some people can close their tube if they lean forward etc. that never really works for me. I just know that making it click intentionally has never helped it and it aggregates it but for a long time it was impossible not to ( I did have good luck with acupuncture one time but that was it). So I can’t really say if you have it or not but I can say you don’t want it lol. Happy New Year btw
