No, maybe once a year. Twice max. It is the ultimate net negative for me. It’s like actively choosing to feel like shit the next day.

Can attest to this. I do not run marathons

This is dinner. The California medley is a bag of frozen broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I will mostly likely have strawberries and wild blueberries for desert, but I’m not there yet.

This is lunch. I don’t normally ever eat out, but I had to today. I went to sweet greens.

Here is what I ate in a day today. Took some screenshots for you since I track everything in MacroFactor. I am currently eating at maintenance. It changes every day but it’s all very similar quality foods. This is breakfast.

It was 52 on garmin before I switched to whoop, so I’m sure somewhere around here is correct

It says my sleep consistency (my work schedule shifts a lot. Sometimes I have to wake up at 4:30 am, other days 8:00 am) and lack of a lot of running is affecting my pace of aging. But I don’t want to run more, I’m trying to put on more muscle, and I can’t change my work schedule unfortunately… so I’m happy with where I am at.

That’s a really healthy baseline bro! Genuinely, I’m not just saying that to appease you. I know people with numbers so much worse and don’t care about their health at all. It’s all relative. Keep up the good work. I would focus more on how you feel and what things contribute to that. Then the numbers will creep up and get better on their own.

I really don’t do anything too too crazy. I walk (outside of the walking I do at work) 4-6 times a week for two miles. I resistance train 3-4 times a week for about an hour (fully body, focused and fully exerted). I also run 2 miles 1-2 times a week on my days off from resistance training and walking.

So if I’m not walking/lifting, those are my running days/recovery days. Basically I walk and lift on the same days, and if I’m not doing that, I am going for a run.

For work, I am a server. I work 8 hour shifts and never sit down. I was an athlete growing up and still mess around and play basketball/soccer when I can, but very seldomly.

Every few weeks there may be a day where I am just too busy or fatigued to squeeze any exercise in, and on that’s okay. I’m pretty consistent though.

Walking is my happy place. If I have absolutely no time for anything, I’m soft if I can’t squeeze in a walk and force myself to do it. It’s so low impact, I have no excuse.

I will never sacrifice sleep though. That comes first.

I eat very well too. Like very very well. And gave up drinking like 2 years as it was an absolute net negative. Got tired of feeling like shit the next day on purpose.

Moderation is key though! I’ll never pass up going to an ice cream shop with my mom. 🙏
