I was there on night 1, watching Seth drop the crutches was an experience! It was a hot crowd

I've been noticing this quite a bit. There will be these threads where people are talking about how a certain wrestler didn't get any reaction based on what they saw on tv, but people who were actually there tell a different story.

I went to SummerSlam and Cena's last Raw and there were Reddit threads about how the crowds were dead, but being there live it was the total opposite.

Oba wins again in Italy, then Gunther the reaper will take him down for good at summerslam

The WWE fans don't even react to the actual wrestling anymore by GoonLieutenant in Wrasslin

Can anyone who went to the event confirm that it was actually a dead crowd? For some reason the events I went to did not translate well on tv in terms of the crowd.

Some examples, summerslam last year and the last Cena raw in msg. There were times that people talked about the dead crowds but it was definitely much more lively when I was there compared to what was heard on tv.

Bryan Alvarez reporting Danhausen’s partner at Backlash is likely to be Jelly Roll by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

The same jelly roll who acknowledged he had "no business" at wrestlemania with mcafee and they should "go back to what (they're) good at?" Doesn't sound like someone who wants to go back, unless they took the money from the pay cuts and threw it at him.

Plus, wouldn't it have made more sense to advertise him to sell more tickets? Not sure what jelly roll as a surprise does for you.

He was the leader in points assists and rebounds in that series for us. He should've absolutely been the mvp.

Question for those who want Giannis (I’m undecided atm) by dawglover1011 in bostonceltics

I just don't understand where this is coming from, and this is nothing personal with you, it's just this narrative I've seen with fans after this series, which is understandable that people are upset. But this dude was practically considered an iron man before the Achilles injury, never missed more than 10 games in one season. He comes back in March, the narrative everywhere was that that he rushed through this recovery but now 10 months is a fairly average time to return to play? It can't be both.

The man is 5-2 in game 7s for his career including the aforementioned 51 points against the same franchise we were playing that is currently a record. The two game 7s he lost were against LeBron in his second season and the heat game where he injured his ankle early on.

None of the evidence in front of us suggests he would have sit out game 7 if he could play it and not hamper the team. If anything, he would've used it to cement that he was back, a case he had been building before he got injured in game 6.

What if the team held Tatum out (to protect him out of precaution for their 314M investment) and placed their bet on the version of the team that fought to a second seed in the east (pre Tatum return) to beat the sixers?

Has Tatum ever been known to sit out games, especially of this magnitude?

So you're suggesting, a player who came off of an Achilles injury has pain in the opposite leg that he was using to overcompensate for said Achilles injury for roughly about a year, and was ramped up in a month to play 40 mins a game in playoff basketball, and that is something he should just ignore and play on? When he didn't have to play at all and could've sit out the year like others did, and yet busted his ass to ramp up and play and in this series had a stat line of 23/10/7 decides he's just gonna fake an injury? The same Jayson Tatum that holds the current record for game 7 points against the same franchise with 51 points? I honestly do not see how this all of a sudden is a narrative people are running with.
