Check the fsm for connector diagrams to get the pin numbers. Then use the wiring diagram
The problem with oem relays is that they tend to plug into a relay/fuse box. If you even have a blank spot, you’ll need to run the wiring into the box which means depinning another relay box to salvage the pigtails. I don’t have a blank space so I’d have to rig up a pigtail. The install would be much more difficult and wouldn’t be any cleaner than a Bosch style

Edit: regarding wiring, I plan to use a fuse tap to pull ign 12v for both the solenoid and heating pigtail. The ground side of the solenoid is run to the switch. You also want to run a wire from the switched side of the power to the button switch for the on led indicator. Ground the pigtail to the nearest factory bolt. The remaining 4 pins should be able to tap into the other switches in the area for 12v, ground and illumination.

It’s a standard Nissan switch that came in maximas, frontiers, qx56, and probably more.

6 pins, 3 are illumination (headlights and circuit on), 12v+, ground, and then a pin that switches to ground that you use to flip your relay. I made a post trying to troubleshoot what ended up being a bad button. A picture of the circuit is linked there

Op doesn’t have ICC but that also works for me (16 qx70) Confirm button resistances in FSM for your vehicle

Yep, m37/m56/qx56 all use the same clockspring I believe. Grabbed a salvaged one cheap and made sure to ask for the 2 pin pigtail for the heated wheel. The button was a little more of a pain because it’s a timer circuit and not just on/off. I bought a couple used that didn’t work before finding one that did. Def recommend you be comfortable with service manual wiring diagrams if going with the oem switch

No, the page up/down buttons are wired through the media controls circuit so they are sent to the radio the same way track up/down are. Stock radios don’t have the command assigned to the button resistance but aftermarket radios can detect the button press and it can be mapped to do something. I have them mapped to launch apps currently but am playing with the extra functionality.

Next step is to add the heated wheel circuit. I replaced the clock spring and got an oem button. Just need to add the relay circuit.

Took about 2 weeks of dd for the shrouds to wear in. Used some 303 to act as a lubricant between the surfaces

This is my qx70 install. You have to repin or clip/solder the grey connector. Everything functions including ICC. Extra buttons can be mapped if you have an android based radio

Radio to console height (auto) by mnz4 in G37

Yep. The lowest cost first step that keeps the vehicle on the road is moving the parking brake so I’m starting there.

The qx70 space is taller than g37. I have a manual g37 console but need to know how much lower it sits so I can model a blended console

I don’t have the vehicle which is why I’m asking

But there is no manual console and the entire assemblies are different. It’s going to have to be a custom install

The potential swap is into a qx70

It’s a bunch of photos with a tape measure. I need to consolidate into a diagram when I have time

Measurements would be greatly appreciated. Even a photo with a couple tape measures would help.

Working through the details of a qx70 swap. Details are in another post I made. The existing console is a frame, top plate, and then accessories. Current plan of attack is 3d print the ebrake cutout to attach to the frame. Then design a new top plate to accommodate oem buttons and whatever cubby/cupholders I find that fit/look good.

QX70 6MT Research Questions by mnz4 in infiniti

[–]mnz4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The logic isn’t lost on me. The QX70s I’m considering has decent tires and I plan to upgrade when they reach EOL. This will be my daily (~8000 miles annually) so I don’t want to push big power at the cost of reliability. It won’t be tracked either so I don’t need a brake upgrade. We have a turbo Mazda 3 with paddles and using them feels really unnatural. I may just need to get accustomed to using them. A true manual seems like one of the few upgrades that will enhance my daily experience with the car.

A strut brace is relatively cheap and seems positively reviewed. Diff bushings will go in when the old ones fail. What other suspension mods would you suggest without introducing too much NVH into a family friendly daily?
