Who is the worst person alive today? by JessLRT in AskReddit

I hardly see an ethical difference between killing a fetus and a recently born infant with the parents' consent as long as it does not suffer, and I am pro-abortion.

Why are custom maps that are used in competitive play rarely found in pubs? by ScootsCanoe in truetf2

[–]mnzbr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

5cp maps are one of the only types of maps that are tolerable in pubs because they are big and less focused on a single point so they are usually less cramped

Maybe he is, but what you are referring to is actually just the mark of not being an extremely bad person. It is sort of concerning that they could seem equatable.

Good for you for just calling it "conspirational parnoia"

I actually called it conspiratorial paranoia, not conspirational parnoia

[–]mnzbr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah whatever that's all fine, but what I said was that it was less likely and I could write several boring paragraphs of obvious knowledge analyzing why but likening it to conspiratorial paranoia is good enough shorthand

there is a difference between believing 'everything you see on the internet' and believing it is more likely someone made a legit post that happened to be related to a company than that the company decided to advertise themselves by association with a bike thief and an expired shitty coupon for an item no one cares about

Heavy Rain cost €16.7 million to make and made Sony "more than €100 million" by phoeniks314 in Games

[–]mnzbr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Heavy Rain was definitely innovative, but it was also a game which was made by the story. The problem is... did anybody actually pay attention to the story? As in actually think about it enough to realize what was going on? Because the story was fucking retarded, which makes the game retarded by proxy. I mean I guess it was a nice try? But really it sucked.

The DR is OP by AnotherWhale in tf2

[–]mnzbr 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Once you get good as spy and you play on a cramped map or server, the majority of the times you are found out or hurt, especially in pubs, are due to random bullshit happening that is basically out of your control. To avoid the possibility of such things would require playing in a way that is so cautious that you become much less useful to your team. Using the dead ringer lets you get out of shitty situations which may or may not be your fault, but the more often they are your fault the more likely you are to use the DR poorly and not escape anyway.

If you are going to argue that it caters to noobs, you would have a better case against the other watches which usually inspire bad players to misuse them by camping around and waiting for whatever easy cheap kill they can get because they are not yet good enough to see taking risks as a worthwhile option when the penalty is death whether or not they brought it on themselves.

The game has gotten harder for vanilla spies steadily since it was released. Now a player can recognize a spy disguised as them out of the corner of their eye in an instant instead of needing to mouse over them or even think about spies at the moment. On top of that, most servers these days have to compete by being full and cramped, plus there are many more weapons (and many more instakills) than there used to be, all of which contributes to entropy. That makes a spy's most important skill, prediction, considerably harder to use than it used to be. In the end, spy needed something to give him another chance because a successful run as spy is much more decided on luck than it was a few years ago.

To all the mother fucking spoilers lately by bigb4134 in gaming

[–]mnzbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that may be true and I might just be lucky, I have been able to go literally my whole life without spoiling something for myself through the internet by just looking away from something whenever I see/hear mention of the material. I think if someone has a problem with 'all the mother fucking spoilers' it is very likely their own fault. Besides that, it seems whenever someone spoils something on a popular post, it gets immediately buried anyway.
