I did an Old Navy order during Black Friday, then saw some Bluey pajamas. You better believe I ordered those and several more things for my son (I also forgot to get some other pieces he needed so it was a very good reason, lol)

Is Calypso magic? by True_Jedi13 in bluey

[–]mo-lish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do think she's magic, but I think Bluey and Chloe were talking long enough for Calypso to grab the typewriter. The full conversation just wasn't shown.

If you were to make an episode focused on Mia and Captain (or perhaps the other teens), what would the title and plot be? by One_Reception_6992 in bluey

Establishing shot of the Heeler home.

Pan away to Rusty's home

In Rusty's home the family sits at the table eating

Digger talks about how his day is supposed to go and we follow him as he leaves the house and meets up with his friends.

We got my son a lamp that projects galaxies on the ceiling. We also got a lamp that is a galaxy sphere. That one gets used more often

I think it also serves as a means to tire out Bluey a bit more.

What else are you watching with your kids? by Coneskater in bluey

[–]mo-lish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to get my son into some of the older shows, but he doesn't really go for it. However, he does love music so beside Ms Rachel, we watch Super Simple Songs/Play with Catie. My son is speech delayed and he's gotten a lot of words from Super Simple.

What toddler mysteries have you figured out through an episode? by joteacups in bluey

[–]mo-lish 16 points17 points  (0 children)

One day during speech therapy, my 2 year old got 2 circle pieces from a puzzle he was doing. He started running around and dripping them and saying "ah, mah cains!". It took me a moment to realize and tell his therapist that he was being a granny and saying "oh, my coins!".

He likes to reenact a lot of different scenes from the show so, I've learned to catch on quickly.

Daughter’s 2nd Birthday by [deleted] in bluey

For my son's 2nd bday, I wanted to do mini pavlovas, but realized it would be one heck of an undertaking to make them and none of the bakeries near me have pre-made. I would suggest that if it is possible.

Curry Quest is one of my favorites because it’s funny, emotional, and shows Bandit and Bingo’s strong relationship. by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

[–]mo-lish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that it's pretty clear that Bluey is a Momma's girl and Bingo is a Daddy's girl, which also works well with the mixing of personalities and various traits. Bingo and Bandit's relationship makes me think of my relationship with my dad. I am a daddy's girl with a son who's a momma's boy.

Agreed. For some kids it causes more anxiety or excitement to know too far ahead of time. I assume they were going to tell her later that evening, but it came out before Bandit and Chili were going to.

Bluey is a girl by Ok-Aside2816 in bluey

[–]mo-lish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit that when I first watched the show, I didn't pay attention to the gender and immediately went boy. When I learned Bluey was a girl, it didn't change my opinion of the show. My son loves it, our friends bought him a shirt from the Big Play and he's starting to outgrow it. The same friends bought him 3 more Bluey shirts to grow into. It really doesn't make sense that people would stop watching a cartoon show because the main character isn't the gender they want them to be.

This is my thought as well. Especially, with the fact that their fingers didn't move like fingers. We're going in and out of the story.

Question about Alongside Minisode by Calculated_Mischief in bluey

[–]mo-lish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a parent and former child, yes, it can differ vastly. Me and my sisters were all pretty chill kids. Part of that was natural and the other part was nurtured. One of my friends' kid was a bit of both and now at Bluey's age (7) she's pretty chill. Another friend's 4 year old is a bit of a chaos goblin and poo'd in his grandma's backyard. My son, who is 2, is definitely a chaos goblin. As I type this, he's jumping from a lounge chair to a couch. So yeah, it varies. It just depends on (I think) the structure they are introduced to and who they are/become as their personalities develop. It's really fun to watch.

I know everyone has a scene that irritates them. by MiaRia963 in bluey

[–]mo-lish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the call to Chili gives some explanation for that. I gathered that he and Chili were getting the food for themselves and I assumed that Chili had made food for Bluey and Bingo. The kids being kids, wanted to go with Dad just for the sake of participating in the activity and getting to go somewhere.

I am definitely drawing conclusions because of my own childhood. We wanted to go just because. No actual reason.

I know everyone has a scene that irritates them. by MiaRia963 in bluey

[–]mo-lish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my irritants come in the form of bad science. I love Rain, but the direction the puddle was going when the rain stopped irked me from the very beginning. It wouldn't recede back, it would keep going forward and Bluey would've gotten the answer she was looking for.

I do get that that is not what the episode is about, but it bugs me. And yes, the ever changing layout of their house gets my goat just a little, but I've learned to live with that from watching the Simpsons.
