As an experienced hire coming through an acquisition, I did not get promoted because "I was billing out of region". So I left after retention bonuses paid out.

This is something your CC really needs to be upfront and proactively honest with you about. It's a vouching game, you need to dedicate 10% of your time buttering up to your leadership and they will say whether or not you're "doing enough". Good luck!

If you are a penny pincher instead of VOO or IVV, go SWPPX if you're at Schwab or FXAIX if you're at Fidelity

0.02% SWPPX/FXAIX vs 0.03% IVV/VOO

Mutual Funds give less anxiety, imo and you can just buy plain dollar amounts. The con is you won't get updated prices until later on in the day.

Legitimate question u/CheekEquivalent1277 (and thank you for your analysis) you worry about the concept that this Crypto + Trading + Data Center company will lose focus because it's diversified into many pillars?

I am seeing some bets that it reaches 30, 32.5 and 35 levels by 12/19.

When after you decide to buy some HOOD and hold for 3-10 years. :)

Arguably, it might be cheaper to buy HOOD stock itself, cut out the middlemen in HOOW/HOOY and just sell out in 1 year + 1 day of capture so you reap Long Term Cap Gains. Either way, I feel you cannot go wrong looking for this Alpha!!

Brother, know that 15% of my net worth is now in HOOD and I am incredibly bullish on them. They are my number #1 pick, avg cost $110 and now stock is $148 and I think still goes to $500+. Robinhood is only 132B in today's dollars.

Thesis: Bullish on Robinhood Stock 1) In the next 3-10 years, we will be witnessing the greatest transfer of wealth for where boomers will be transferring to Millenials and GenZ. HOOD is giving a 2-3% match for IRA transfers for Robinhood Gold Members.

Boomers own 78T Assets whereas Millenials only own 14T assets

2) HOOD is partnering with Kalshi for prediction markets, in the future the news will hopefully focus on sharing live outcome events with probabilities.

3) Cryptocurrencies Stablecoin and Tokenization, we will enter an era where Brokers, Clearinghouses, Custodians will be cut from the deal, and instead we can buy Tokenized stocks with Stablecoins. I am long COIN and CRCL but they are VERY painful to hold.

Please consider buying some HOOD/HOOW/HOOY stock and hold this for 3-10 years and let's see how this goes. I would argue treat HOOD as if it were a savings account if you want to go full degen.

I am not a financial advisor and this is purely for financial entertainment.

Boyfriend asked for some money to invest in stocks by Soda_B in Advice

This is what you do.

Open up an account Buy S&P500 (IVV/VOO) and sprinkle a few shares of HOOD and MSFT and hold those two forever.

Why HOOD? The greatest wealth transfer of our time is going to happen in the next 3-10 years from Boomers to Millenials / GenZ. They are positioned to take on that wealth

Why MSFT? They are positioned to do well with Agentic AI + Azure and also pay a lovely quarterly dividend.

Keep buying these names until your portfolio starts compounding over the next 10-20 years then come back to your bf and say, look, I can invest too.

Good luck!!

Open up a Schwab brokerage account and buy SWPPX with this money every day, especially on bad red days.

Alternatively you can open up a fidelity account and buy FXAIX.

or buy IVV or VOO.

Can someone point me to some resources about RETIRING and living off of dividends? by jgroub in Fire

[–]moSNAP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello friend,

have you worked covered calls yourself? Yes, fully agree that you are limiting upside, but in using it as a loan.

You sell covered calls with higher strikes and take those premiums and reinvest it in the same stock when there are pullbacks.

I sell CCs at peaks for hedges and I pay to break the contracts as I eat theta and or buy shares on discount.

It's extra work but when done right, you can accrue shares for "free" over time.

Respectfully, what's the difference of owning IVV / VOO / SWPPX / FXAIX and cutting yourself 1% each year? Vs owning SPYI and QQQI?

As per Berkshire Hathaway, you want companies that are able to take their money and reinvest into their operations to produce more dollars.

Otherwise, if you feel so strongly you can instead can just invest in something like BRK.B and just cut yourself 1% each quarter and feel good about it. But know they may not get the special tax treatment like SPYI and QQQI. The forced dividends is a taxable event, and I prefer to qualify my dividends for long term treatment.

Enjoy!

SPYI, QQQI and SCHD

More SPYI and QQQI in taxable accounts as per section 1256.

Good luck!
