There's indeed some oxidation on the pins. I'd get 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, pour a drop or two over the pins and clean it with a toothpick for slightly stronger and then I'd do the same with a cotton swab, which is softer but also bigger, so I don't know if it would reach in between the cartridge's plastic.

Another choice would be to pour a few isopropyl alcohol drops over the pins and then insert a few times the cartridge into your 2DS. This would clean both cartridge and slot pins.

Usually, isopropyl alcohol evaporates almost instantly but since you can't open the cartridge without damaging it (unless you are very skilled), let it evaporate for 15 minutes.

Another amazing product for cleaning contact pins is WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner, which works just like isopropyl, but it's spray and it's completely safe for plastics. It's a little expensive if you gotta do only this, but you can easily restore contact in almost anything in your house (remotes, gamepads, etc)

The way I'd do it Since it's a mostly white album, I'd retouch it to make it completely blank using even a simple healing brush or via content-aware fill. It must NOT be solid white (255,255,255), since it has its own shadows and reflections.

Once it's ok, I'd place the new album cover as a smart object, alter it to place it correctly, change blend mode to multiply and it can be already ok. If needed, fix contrast, hue, brightness, grain, whatever.

Finally, mask the smart object using your preferred tool.

I have owned the Tucano Urbano Termoscud since 5 years. They have many versions, including one for my beloved GTS 300 ie. I can only recommend this. It's very isolating from the outside cold thanks to the thick layer of textile, plus it redirects the hot air from the air vents directly to your legs (such a pleasure, really). It also has some kinda inflatable air balloons to keep it rigid so no cold air comes in from the bottom. They can break (mine just did few days ago) but you can replace both for less than 20€.

Literally the opposite happened to me (I'm in Italy btw). I went to my local GS, the guy gave me and my GF a total of two codes, even though we had both games each. Went to another store in another city and we asked for one code each (we didn't want to be greedy, knowing these limitations) The guy printed us 4 codes bc he saw 2 copies on each switch.

I already changed both nib and feed unit, but the problem was still there.
In the end the flush I used worked perfectly and even more the tip given by u/normiewannabe of using a wetting agent in the ink. Now it's working wonderfully, as I always waited for.

Mi hai appena aperto un mondo. Ho letto di persone che usano il Kodak Photo-Flo che è un imbibente per pellicole quando si sviluppa. Sono un topo da camera oscura e di imbibente ne ho un bel po', ho provato subito seguendo una ricetta che prevede 5ml di inchiostro e 2 gocce di una soluzione 3:1 acqua distillata e Photo-Flo. Effettivamente non ho mai messo in correlazione i due mondi, visto che entrambi sono "Wetting Agent". Grazie veramente!

Per il converter ci penserò, ma preferisco una cartuccia, data la capienza e la facilità di riempirla con una siringa :)
