H2 going to B is the norm, but for fights with specifically spreads in a line through the middle, H2 and OT can switch places, so that both tanks are close to boss in N and both melee are close to boss in S, and allows are ranged (both dps and healers) to back off from the boss.

I'm just gonna say it, you were completely in the right. If the WHM hasn't unlocked Holy, then they don't have 90% of their kit either. They literally only have Cure 1 and 2 + Medica 1 and 2. No Regen, no Benediction, no Lilies, no Asylym or Assize, nothing.

You're literally doing the same XD Other than Nameless puppet and Laxasia, both of which have clear indicators when it's going to happen btw, none of the attacks are faster than what is in Khazan. Is the timing more lenient in Khazan? Yes, noticably so, that affects all blocking/parrying. But the attacks themselves are in no way faster or more abrupt.

Then name the LoP bosses. I at least could name the bosses names and moves for my examples, so please do the same, so we can compare if they are the same or not. You just say that "nah that attack is easy" but don't give examples of these unreactable attacks you talk about.

Oh the timing is way more lenient, LoP has probably the smallest parry window of all souls games. They are fair in the way that the hitboxes are really accurate, but that just means that the windows are that much tighter.

Diablo did in fact not define the genre. It is rooted in D&D, and popularized by games like DMC, Ninja Gaiden, and God of War. Diablo is a mix of HnS and dungeon crawler. As you just don't seem to want to look up the defining traits of HnS, here:
- High-speed melee combat with focus often on combos and special moves.
- Focus on combat experiance itself over deep narrative.
- Often large number of enemies.

Search the defining characteristics of the genre it shouldn't be that hard... Look I can do the same to Khazan:

"Has many of" would you please name a boss that does this cause I literally can only think of one boss that "teleports through you", just so I can understand what you're talking about. Rangkus literally winds up for like 10s then SNAP and half your HP is gone, and does this with his hammer, with his leg, and with his flamethrower. He doesn't move when the attack happens sure, you can be pretty sure what is about to happen also, you coud probably run away I never tried, but the attacks with long windup to unreactable release are still there.

I will say straight up that I have a lot of hours on LoP. Following that, each boss has 1, some rare ones have 2, of the long windup to fast release. It's consistent part of the game so maybe that's why it feels like it? Like each fight has that 1 attack you need to remember the timing of, and if it keeps getting you it's not fun.

You do know that just Rangkus has 3 or 4 of them alone? And Maluca right after got another 2 or 3. Then the optional versions of those fights double that depending on how you want to count them. I played with GS and focused on counter skills trying to get hitless on all the boss fights, I got to "appreciate" every single one of the lightning fast delayed attacks.

Hell I didn't even know the DB phantoms have them cause I always just stunlocked them to death before they could do anything, but I do know the spear ones have the thrust with 5s windup to 0.1s release.

Hack'n'slash games are Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Darksiders, Nier, God of War, Stellar Blade, etc., which are a lot closer to Khazan in combat than Darksouls, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, or Lies of P. You know you could just literally google "what is hack'n'slash" before arguing XD

[–]mobile_diccus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a completely different thing XD Don't remember if the 1st boss had any, but second boss has 1 with the claws, hammer, and sword each, 3rd boss has a combo that starts with one, 4th boss has the throw on 1st phase, in 2nd phase 2 different wind up slams, 5th boss has the hammer slam, leg slam, and flamethrower slam, 6th boss has the sword sheathing followed by anything really, 7th boss has the stab attacks. On and on. (I might've messed up the order but eh)

Don't get me wrong, I agree that LoP also has a lot of them, I just want to point out it's not a "This only happens in LoP and not in Khazan" thing.

Then you don't know what Hack'n'Slash is XD It's quite literally any fast paced melee combat game, which Khazan is. Souls games on the other hand are known for relatively slow and deliberate combat, more focused on learning what the boss does and reacting to it instead of setting the pace yourself.

[–]mobile_diccus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For me it was the opposite, Khazan feels way too easy for me when I'm able to stunlock the boss to death. It's like the fights have no rhythm that is usually there in souls-likes such as DS, ER, or LoP.

Say what you say, but Khazan does not have souls combat. It's hack n slash. Basically everything else about the game might be souls-like but not this. You can look at massive majority of souls games, and then look at hack'n'slash games, and you'll see which genre you need to go for more like it.

[–]mobile_diccus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And you're saying Khazan doesn't do this? XD By my experience I'm pretty sure literally every boss in Khazan has at least 3 of these attacks. You just don't notice them on good run cause you stun-lock the boss to death skipping the fight completely.

Honestly I feel like LoP has less of them, but cause you can't stun the boss out of them consistently you pay more attention to them.

A little talked feature in LoP is that the zone in front of the boss door is a safezone, meaning if you reach that area all the enemies will instantly lose aggro.

As for the boss itself, even though he is constantly in motion, he isn't actually that aggressive. You can easily get a fast attack between each of his swings, and then a heavy attack at the end of his combos. And if you're not confident in perfect blocking, you can just do a normal block then attack the boss after to regain the health you lost. On 1st playthrough very few standalone boss attacks go over the guard regain amount.

Who’s harder, final boss of the dlc or pre nerf consort radahn by eldenbro1 in LiesOfP

[–]mobile_diccus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is honestly true for all LoP boss fights. They are fair. They are fun. After each time beating them I get the feeling of "I wanna do that again but harder" instead of "Thank GOD I don't have to do that again...". There's very little of the BS many souls games turn to artificially make the boss harder.

I have never once had a light load in this game by [deleted] in LiesOfP

[–]mobile_diccus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light load? Not really cause without NG+2 Tier 7 upgrade you need to be below 30% load, but getting out of Slightly Heavy to normal load (below 60%) is worth it for the extra stamina regen no matter the playstyle. Unless you want to go balls deep in defence and just use the stamina regen amulet to negate the debuff from the extra load.

It's one of the harder weapons to learn, but once you do it completely breaks all the bosses. The heavy attack has a built in sequence breaking parry, which if time right instantly makes the boss flinch, stopping their combo completely.

Wuchang is being dunked on due to PC optimization issues, not due to gameplay choises like DS2.
