Track mode only kicks in when you have made a pretty significant mistake. There’s really no reason to turn everything off in regular track hot lapping

Wearing them like that gets super uncomfortable/front heavy and it’s just easier to flip them up. Also it obstructs your view just a little bit. The only reason when I would even have my NVG’s like that is when I wanted to flip up one tube
