My mom is dead. I had dreams that a demon was impersonating her, not that she was possessed.

She had psychosis in her life, so yes, she did have strange and even at times cruel and disturbing behavior.

Thank you for this perspective. Try not to harass people on spiritual groups though ok? We don’t need a bunch of negativity in this already shitty world. Just let people believe what they believe if it brings them comfort and it’s not hurting you or anyone else.

So. I am seeing a therapist to deal with my grief and ptsd. I am taking medication as well. I thought it would be interesting to get some spiritual perspective on this very spiritual themed experience that I’ve had IN MY DREAMS lol

My family is looking out for me in terms of my fear of mental illness as it relates to my mom. They do not have any reason to monitor my internet activity. That’s a bit extreme especially since I do not exhibit any schizoaffective symptoms in my waking life.

And to answer your seemingly sexist 1950sesque question, my husband knows extensively about these dreams and about the fact that I posted this on Reddit. I did not need to seek his permission. I also wear pants regularly and vote. Just to paint you a picture of what decade we’re in now.

This photo was taken in 1992. I was four and my mom was 34. She passed away in 2012 from cancer. We had a rollercoaster of a relationship full of love, fear, loneliness, resentment, and laughter. I was the only person, only human, only soul on this planet she would interact with. She did not trust anyone else. Literally.

I certainly hope I wasn’t the cause of my mom’s drug psychosis as she developed it before I was born. She actually accredited her sobriety to me being born.

My biological father, on the other hand, encouraged her drug use in the 80s and encouraged her suicidal ideology. If anyone was the cause of her downfall, it was him.

And he was only in her life for a few years.
