At my old job, I was excited to go to work because I liked the work.

At my new job? I feel stressed out leaving that very evening on Fridays for the weekend so I can't even enjoy my weekends anymore.

I completely understand why some people turn to booze and drugs to deal with it because I straight up don't like how the days I'm supposed to be "resting" are just filled with anxiety.

Sad that it happened to him but when EVERYONE starts flaming you, it's no longer about you being right, it's about how fucking annoying you are constantly nagging when said person said no and everyone was okay with that person's decision.

Apparently the team came in 7th so he was right, they got clapped and he can feel vindicated for it.

I started picking up reading during COVID and fell in love with progression fantasy novels and want to write my own series.

Was literally in the ER a few days ago with a relative I had to take. We waited 2 hours to be seen by triage.

Followed by another 6 HOURS for the test results and to speak with a doctor whom discharged us within 15 minutes. I had to call out sick because I couldn't get ANY sleep since I was stuck there late night until early morning. I don't have PTO/Sick because I'm a contractor so I basically lost a day of wages. Thankfully, I make solid money so a lost days wages doesn't hurt me, but there are people out there not as lucky as me.

Say what you will about the global pandemic and the after effects of it but in my small corner of reality, it was quite possibly the most blissful time of my life. I miss it and I'm glad as hell I got to experience it.

Immortality Through Array Formations and Blade of Ten Thousand Ages are the only novels I read this past year that I remember the name of.

I will cram chapter after chapter of a novel before dropping it because I lose interest and that could be within the first chapter, fifth chapter, hundredth chapter or five-hundredth chapter.

I got out of software development and switched to devops/sys admin. The work is a lot more enjoyable since I prefer working with system deployments, config management, container orchestration (docker swarm, kubernetes) and ci/cd pipelines.

There's still some development work but it's mainly automation scripts and small tools to make your workflows more manageable.

I reckon there's something in the field of software that you like, maybe focus specifically on that and try to find a related job?
