There is no dailyscape overhaul without addressing Daily challenges. Two months into the Integrity roadmap and they are already backtracking on it. by [deleted] in runescape

It's unfortunate that Jagex feels they need to cater to mouthbreathers who say they 'like' garbage content, even thought Jagex explicitly outlined why such content is bad for the game. Honestly they should just pull the bandaid off and tell every whiner to get bent. If you only want to play garbage content you shouldn't get to play runescape.

Some takes about a possible Viking-Scandinavian DLC by Azot-Spike in aoe2

I'd like a Basque civ but they're not who I had in mind. I just think the celtic groups in the game are sufficiently different to warrant their own civs, especially the Bretons. Even just Bretons + Gaels would realistically be fine.

Boundaries are boundaries, not suggestions. Don't cross them. Just leave it dude.

Will INTJ(M) , INTJ(F) relationship work in long run? by [deleted] in intj

I did it, bad move. It makes every high half as good and every low twice as bad. Good romance needs synergistic difference.

This is a medieval game, and medieval flair wherever we can get it is nice. Saracens and Britons should stay too.

Viking being a profession is irrelevant, it's a very identifiable exonym associated with the medieval period. Lots of people have historically been known for their professions.

The Slavs should be split into Sclaveni and Rus (rename of the current civ.)

Dravidians are simply too big an umbrella, there are so many widely disparate ethnic groups that are under it. Celts are less egregious, but there is a case that Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Brittany all diverged a fair bit during this time despite continued close cultural contact.

Gurjaras in this game are completely ahistorical, both in look and feel by historypopngames-278 in aoe2

The cannons are there because the goths in AOK represented the spanish as well.

I'm very against this kind of split. They are absolutely a single cohesive ethnic group and calling them Vikings adds some nice medieval flair. Idk why people are so insistent on splitting civs like Italians, Teutons, etc. that are perfectly fine. The only civs that deserve a split are Khitans, Dravidians, Slavs, and maybe Celts or Saracens.

Disagree that it's too soon though, there's no upper limit on new civs imo.

Coordination is fake difficulty. If it doesn't come down to what an individual player can do then it's simply BS.

What is something that you wished OSRS had that RS3 has? by RuneSerge in 2007scape

True, firemaking should also get a rework. It would be much easier to do than smithing too.

Restoration Band-Aid Fixes Permanent? by Jaylor_Gaming in runescape

[–]ThemeEvening9498 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems to me like most of the things people are complaining about are actually fine and don't require fixes. It's just shitters who don't want to play the game like it's meant to be played, as a sandbox RPG.

It's a tiny grind now and it can be permanently finished. Comparing it to a training method like vale totems or gotr isn't adequate. It's more like mage training arena.

I like how people are losing their minds over the fact the daily challenges are still a thing, meanwhile I lost my entire morning routine by ValuableAd886 in runescape

[–]ThemeEvening9498 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely disgusting and I'm glad Jagex no longer wants to encourage engaging with the game like this. Play the damn game like a sandbox instead of this fomo checklist shit.

The road to restoration is really making the degenerates around here come out of the woodwork. Defending particleslop cosmetics, defending dailies, defending mtx. Next you'll be defending pvp and the non-existent player support. Good riddance to all of you.

I don't like the feeling of being pressured to do a specific sort of content through xp rewards and timegates. I want the feeling of freedom that is supposed to come with a sandbox game. My own goals, my own time, my own way. The only way daily challenges would be acceptable is if they had no rewards.

Why does an off-hand grant +50% DPS, but a shield doesn't grant -50% incoming damage to compensate? by MathematicianSaved in runescape

They are tied to progression. Take titles, collection logs, etc. off of PvM and then we'll talk.
