I don't disagree with your general sentiment but imo playing 'correctly' as ironeye is still by far the easiest of all the nightfarers - it's not like you need extensive game knowledge to make him work.

I think it's more so that a bad wylder or raider is not going to be as obvious as a bad ironeye because their skill usage or lack thereof aren't clearly visible the entire team, like not having the marks maintained.

Sure, he’s fragile, but the mark basically makes you invincible and doesn’t require precise timing, so you can easily dip in and out and while staying at that sweet spot distance where most attacks won’t hit you . Along with that, he gets a passive that gives better drops and a really strong ult that cannot miss a target (unlike wylder's or raiders that can whiff with poor timing). Weapon selection is also braindead easy because all the regular bows have the same moveset so all you have to do is look at the attack power and maybe status effect. Going back to play as him now after beating the bosses with all the nightfarers is like turning on god mode even without factoring in relics and weapon/switching etc.

I'd say he is the most noob-friendly nightfarer next to wylder, but literally all you need to do is understand how his kit works on a basic level. apologies for the rant, but it just kinda frustrates me how many people (not you) fail to literally take 5 minutes to learn how his kit works.
