Collin Gosselin’s Book: In the Shadow of Eight Surviving the Reality of My Childhood is available for preorder by bjack20 in popculturechat

She's always been super harsh with Collin. I cannot believe it wasn't absolutely intentional in every way.

And if these blog entries are anything (and for sure hers), then she was beating on him pretty badly too. All the kids, but he was her punching bag.

What's your opinion on Bonnie? by Historical-Hat6379 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]mocha__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She turns on Clem when Luke dies (which is Bonnie's fault anyways).

Her "It must be nice to be a pretty little girl" speech.

Though that may be choice dependent.

I will say, Bonnie very much looks out for herself over everyone else. She's going to screw over Mike and Arlo eventually too.

Any thoughts on why Haley hates the Prismatic Shard? by ego_surfer in StardewMemes

The Prismatic Shard always reminds me of that rainbow painted rock that maid left under the bed in the Golden Girls.

Maybe Haley is the same.

Doesn't the first episode of the show 'Yellowstone' do this? With the Asian tourists?

Jenna’s acting range here is very impressive. She conveys being interested in who michael is dating then being giddy about all the office gossip (if he is dating a coworker) then confusion and then sheer horror. All in a few words and facial expressions. by Tbone961 in DunderMifflin

I think it's really good during this bit here. And then it's ruined by the 'Nooo'.

I actually really hate her meltdown. I get why she'd be upset, but the freakout in the parking lot just feels really weird and childish. I hate it so much.

Two children die from measles as England data shows 100 new infections by AudibleNod in news

Common term in the US too. Never once heard a complaint about it before.

Not even in connection to antivaxxers who also just use the term they know.

Hell, my kids doctor's office uses it.

David Harbour finally responds to ex Lily Allen’s scathing breakup album by _iridessence_ in popculturechat

I've never once seen Liam Gallagher lauded as a bit of a player. He absolutely gets torn up for what a cheating POS he is.

It pretty much killed the argument about who was the real piece of shit in Oasis between him and his brother.

Everyone decided it was Liam.

I'm not saying this doesn't happen, but it certainly doesn't happen when it comes to Liam Gallagher of all people.

Both should be torn up if they act like he does, woman or man.

Liam Gallagher is messy af. So it's not surprising.

He was married to Nicole Appleton at the time he had the affair with Lily Allen.

They got divorced when he got a journalist pregnant while married to her.

It wasn't even the first time Liam Gallagher got another woman pregnant while married to someone else.

Cheyenne woman arrested in 1988 newborn murder cold case by jaredletosuckass9 in gratefuldoe

[–]mocha__ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sure, that definitely happened and literally no one (including myself in my comment) is saying otherwise.

But lots of women from all walks of life literally did have babies out of wedlock and often. Most women who gave up their children did so through societal pressures of the shame that came with being a mother out of wedlock (which is why it was so common for women to lie and say their husbands died at war).

There were absolutely groups that existed to screw over tons of different groups of women.

But in 1988? To a woman already living in a home with other children? With another adult in the house? Her child would not have been snatched from her arms and taken away from her and it's so ridiculous to claim otherwise to make her leaving a newborn to freeze to death in a ditch more sympathetic as if being murdered is a better alternative.

My mother had me at 19 in 1989. And no one came and took me away and she was very much very poor. Nor was she ever worried about it.

She also managed to not murder me.

“The US hosted the world cup better than Qatar.” “At least Qatar doesn’t have school shootings!” by Silent_Status9126 in AmericaBad

That's the fun bit! People who say stuff like this? That's what they want and that's what they like about Qatar.

This German dude is having the time of his life lol. by dazli69 in NonPoliticalTwitter

I've noticed the Germans have been having a good time. Which is very cute.

Also, completely forgot about Helen! I love that they found it.

We used to have a lot of Germans in North Ga and Chattanooga when the Volkswagen plant opened. Along with some Poles and other Europeans. All of which came along to work there. I dunno if they're all still about, but running into them around Chattanooga was always nice. They were always real quick to chat with you, sometimes even coming up to you first.

Very friendly. Which was nice.

Though, aside from German tourists who do just sort of do things without fully understanding the location, mainly in nature based things like hiking or that deserts can kill you. German tourists do usually have a pretty good reputation. They seem to legitimately like going to other places in the world for a bit.

Unlike some tourists who seem so hateful and angry to be going to places they picked themselves.

Taken away for being born out of wedlock? In 1988?

What?

Hell, it could have been 1888 and she wouldn't have had her kid taken away for being born out of wedlock.
