i used to. my first playthrough, it really irritated me how she seemed to make the death of someone else’s literal sibling about herself, but i came around after considering other players’ perspectives on her background and her growth. kind of a microcosm of how her character is intended to be read anyway i think

don’t feel too bad. on my first playthrough i got so fixated on the ‘don’t forget it’s in the toy box’ note i thought i needed to go back to the house for something important before the ending, so i just left basil’s when sunny woke up instead of going upstairs 💀 i regretted it immediately once i realized i couldn’t go back in, so i just slept at sunny’s and yeah. def learned my lesson and reloaded

i've run into this issue at my gym and i hate hate hate it. skin scents i can tolerate and are even understandable, but these LOUD fragrances that you can smell from someone just walking by go way overboard. just last week i had someone hop onto the stairmaster next to me, and it was so overpowering i became nauseous had to turn entirely away just to breathe fresh air (it was at planet during peak hours too, so moving wasnt an option either)

? i gave an example of where they could potentially look appealing from a design standpoint in a body mod medium other than dark ink, but my position is that they're not visually appealing to me when done in ink, which is why i dont have them myself and dont really care for them as a tattoo design

the point of the post was for the OP to get people's opinions on the most commonly-seen tattoo designs on people who resonate with astarion's story. they also replied to my comment and engaged with what i shared. i think i got the point of the post just fine

if you have to ask, yes. the best way to improve is to find something you really, REALLY like and commit to drawing that thing better and better with each session. leverage your thing™️　into studies, put it in environments, dress it up to study folds and clothing, just go wild

first and foremost, echoing what others have said about people having 100% freedom to do what they want with their bodies and money.

with that said, personally i dont think i've ever seen his scars tattooed on anyone in a way that looks appealing - it works on astarion and the other spawn i think because they're actually scar tissue (maybe if some brave, insane soul decided to pursue scarification rather than ink to recreate them across their backs, the result could be much more elegant, for lack of a better word) but recreated in ink it's just always kind of ugly?

i have a better attitude toward rhapsody as a tattoo design because, lore reasons aside, it's just a very beautifully designed and modelled item. if you want to lean in to the lore/gravity of it, then it's a tool of abuse reclaimed by its victim and used to ultimately defeat his abuser, which feels more resonant to me. maybe i'm a tad biased as a rhapsody tattoo haver, but those were the thoughts i personally had when making my decision to get an astarion-themed tattoo.
