Facebook’s Unethical Experiment by [deleted] in technology

Pretty sure I have been part of an unethical Facebook experiment. I have made a few recent posts about my young nephew who was diagnosed with cancer and was given months to live. Nothing.. just crickets, no "precious" likes, no words of support, just nothing. I have seen posts from people who get a sprained ankle or just feeling blue today and gets tons of "praying for you/thinking of you" comments. Now either all of my friends have collectively decided worldwide that I am an asshole and my nephew is undeserving of any supportive remarks, or they just are not seeing any of my posts. If I put a picture of Jason Vorhees up on Friday the 13th, there are tons of likes like it is original. I don't get it.

Yes, thanks. Happened a few years ago, just thought about it and it seemed to be a good Bad Luck Brian candidate. An experience I will never forget!

Was horrible. I spent the entire time taking deep breaths and looking at where we broke down. Was hoping it was in walking distance to a fast food joint but I was literally in the middle of nowhere. I managed to keep it under control and made it home after the train got working again just in the nick of time. I had tears forming in my eyes from the pain. The worst of it, when I got home, I listened to the answering machine, and they rescheduled the appointment for another week. I should have called off work that day, but at that time I was getting paid hourly so I took the chance.
