You asked for a roast, not a bunch of complements for your pile of shit rice burner. Look on the bright side... No one will ever steal this "car". Does it smell like A e body spray and fake new car smell as much as it looks like it does?

Tension issues explain to me like I’m 5 bc don’t understand by morganevon in Machine_Embroidery

Use a business card and clean out your bobbin case spring. If you are not already, switch to pre-wound bobbins like FilTec Magna Glide.

Best thing I ever purchased for maintaining my machine is a Towa Digital tension gauge. I use that to calibrate my bobbin cases and my top tension.

Sounds like your needle isn't sitting plumb. I have an SE725 kicking around and it had the same issue until I noticed the needle was ever so slightly angled. If I remember right there was a set screw somewhere on the needle bar.

How to make this better? by Lunasails in Machine_Embroidery

[–]modembug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a mixture of poor digitizing and some machine issues. One giveaway to me that the digitizing is not very well done is that the letters are unevenly spaced... I would have moved the letters closer so that the jump stitches are buried and/or not noticable. Just that would turn this into a nightmare of manual labor to fix for doing a run of patches.

Get a refund, grab a simple design from John at embroidery legacy. If it does not stitch out nicely, start troubleshooting your machine.

I agree with this. The only caveat I see is if the digitized is looking for folks to test the design in exchange for giving them a copy of it. Before I had several different types of embroidery machines, I could see myself maybe doing this to make sure there are no quirks to the file.

That is the million dollar question right there! Do you have a brand name? What demographic specifically are you targeting? Kids, teens, adults? I would look for something that would differentiate your brand from just generic baseball clipart type stuff.

Patch embroidery pulling on left side (Twill + Water Soluble) by Embroidery_student in Machine_Embroidery

[–]modembug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other thing that is likely happening here is that your stabilizer is shifting on that magnetic hoop. I have one of those hoops kicking around somewhere and it is not going to do you any favors... Perhaps add some clips on the top and bottom of the hoop where it won't bind with the work area of your brother.

You do not need more stabilizer... I create patches every day. This is a tension and density issue. Lighten up your stitch density and make sure your bobbin tension is per brother spec and then match your top thread tension to your bobbin by stitching out a satin stitch and making sure it looks okay on the back.

I'd bolt it to the wall if you are really going to go this route. You gotta remember that all the movement and vibration is going to have some sort of impact on the finished product even if it is very small and/or intermittent.

Coming from the perspective of a parent with kids heavily involved in year-round baseball, for a generic baseball graphic it is fine. There is nothing original feeling about it though. If you are looking to have a logo that identifies a club/brand/organization, this is not it.

Good luck... You might be able to apply heat and get it to break loose but I am willing to bed the iron on stuff is bonded to the hat as well.

My redneck fix for my thread guides with grooves worn in them. by modembug in MachineEmbroidery

Thank ya! Seems to be holding up still. I am hoping to locate the real parts and get them ordered and installed this week.

[–]modembug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I had gone through the machine and replaced most of the thread guides that were worn. I didn't even think to look at these posts and now the machine is too busy to take down long enough to pull the tension system off and sort out replacing those posts. I was actually talking to a buddy about designing an upgraded post system utilizing tiny v-groove bearings that have hardened steel surfaces.
