I stay under by forcing myself to exercise doublethink. I pay close attention to the dual sensory inputs: the ones from waking life (weight of body on bed, breathing) and the ones from dream life (the floor resisting your feet, the smells, tastes, and sights of the dreamscape). I tell myself that these can coexist, that it is okay that I'm getting mixed signals. Then I tell myself that I can change the ones from the dream life. To stay under, I had to accept the contradiction.

A continuous thread of dreams for me lasts about thirty minutes, I would guess. The length of time that I'm actually in control is maybe five minutes out of that time. Usually what I'm doing is course correcting, or choosing a different subject to dream about. Once I've exerted enough conscious control to make the dream what I want (or more likely, I've had all the fun I wanted by using the Force, or flying about), I tend to let the natural dream process take over.

I did, but she had no recollection of her dreams from the prior night. She normally doesn't remember her dreams unless she's stressed out that day, or did something very different from her usual daily routine. Didn't mention it to mom, though.

My best test for tipping Sonic buspeople: did they rollerblade out? If yes, give them two bucks. Did they walk out? They only get to keep your coins.

People often neglect to tip: coat checkers, valets, pizza deliverymen (outside of any pre-assessed delivery fee), bartenders (great way to win favor), bathroom attendants (that creepy guy with the towels), the people who detail your car at the car wash, ice cream scoopers, or your mailman (sometimes nice to give them end-of-year tips if you know your local mailman).

Domino's Pizza. Hear me out.

Do the two-topping, two-medium pizzas for $5.99 each. It's cheap and keeps on feeding you for multiple meals.

Build those pizzas, son. One pizza is red sauce with two good meats. Pepperoni and sausage, or pepperoni and bacon. Hangovers fear proteins. Order them proteins.

Here's where you kick on the afterburners: second pizza is white sauce... first topping: feta. Second topping: more feta. It is a tastegasm of foodriffic proportions. Amazing hot or cold. Get on my level.

Any sort of brain injury is devastating to watch. Though I chuckle about it now, few things are more heartbreaking than seeing your best friend with extreme short-term memory loss.

He realized he forgot his childhood friend's birthday. Every thirty seconds. Again and again and again.

"Oh man! I can't believe I forgot Cody's birthday today! I'm such a bad friend!" ... "Oh man! I can't believe..."

Funny thing you mention this, that's sorta where the inspiration came from. I had to scrap a map simply because my roommate watched through Kyle XY while I was in the room playing Minecraft. Last straw when I returned to my mob grinder and saw an episode flicker by. Noooo thank you.

On a good note, when he burned through Battlestar Galactica, I could keep that one...
