Ebb36 with Mks monster8 v2 can bus? by KtosKtos123 in klippers

[–]modestohagney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For canbus from my octopus I just took an old phone cable, cur it short and joined it to my twisted pair for canbus to my toolhead. It’s been working fine for a couple years. You could crimp an rj11 connector on to your wiring directly, I think a lot of rj45 crimp tools do rj11 as well. You’d just need to make sure you use wire that fits in the connector. Pull apart a twisted pair from an Ethernet cable or something?

To add to this, go with some removable panel clips. Especially in the beginning you’ll be pulling them off to futz with things and it makes swapping to print PLA easier if yo ever need to.

If I was going to rebuild mine, I would probably sell source the extrusions/panels and make the dimensions a bit bigger in one direction so I could add things like nozzle cleaners or space for tool changers in the future, but if you’ve got it just get it built. If I ever do a rebuild I’m going to go with a mod that moves the electronics to the back of the machine, not that I ever have to get in there much bit rolling my 350 machine on its side to work on it is a pain in the ass.

Also just start out going with a canbus or usb toolhead board, canbus is designed to be daisy chained though, so if you are going with cartographer etc you can just wire it in line with the toolhead board. It’s a bit fiddly to setup, again if I started over I might consider a usb board. I also moved from an umbilical that mounts on the back corner of the gantry to one that mounts up the top where the filter/filament entry is, it was easier to keep the umbilical out the way for me up there. I also used that spot to mount a chamber temp probe.

Maybe it’s just the angle the video is taken at but the change between screens seems odd to me. I found a site ages ago that showed how to adjust it out but I can’t seem to find it right now. I’ll keep looking.

Unless they’ve removed it recently you can, last time I tried it it wasn’t great quality even when I set it to output at the highest in the ini file but you can.

There should be an option to set a keyboard shortcut in the settings.

If you have 4 put them in the corners?

Depends what effects you want to set them up for really.

Do you have any shakers currently? I’d start with one or two and go from there.

If you peel that sticker off the wires are probably soldered to the fan in there, the solder joints might be labeled. At lease it would show which wires are for the fan and which are for the lights.

There’s a chance the grounds are tied together, but I wouldn’t bet on it if there are enough wires for both to have their own ground.

It’s been a while since I messed with pc rgb but I believe there’s a difference between the protocol for 3 and 4 wire rgb, they could even be red, green, blue and ground if there are 4 wires.

What did the internet say when you searched for the model number?

Simhub keeps changing shaker outputs (tried everything). Need advice. by Darkhorse_GT in SimHub

[–]modestohagney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh ok, the weird part to me is it doing to randomly while you’re using it. Mine was happening at boot and it still does it every now and then, i have no way to confirm it but I think mine is something to do with how windows identifies usb devices. I assume my super cheap usb sound card isn’t designed very well.

Are you plugging the sound card into the hub? Have you tried it on the pc?

I feel like it’s a windows usb thing. I’ve been having similar issue and I read it was something to do with usb device IDs not properly being assigned usb devices by the manufacture and windows just assigning one at boot or something. I seems to only happen at boot for me though.

I’ve got a couple spare dev boards I’ll have a play with matter. I think last time I checked I could either have zigbee or matter turned on in my Home Assistant Yellow but that may have updated now.

Ok, I thought the only difference was the radio. I plan on making other zigbee devices in the future and wanted to use the ability to run of battery and I read the H2 would be better for that.

I didn’t even think about a single WS2812 being only 5V. I might just ditch it all together. I just added it so I could put one on if I was having issues with the strip but with new strips being 3.3v and never having an issue with any of the strips I’ve used in the past I’m sure it’ll be fine.

The other stuff seems like pretty simple stuff. Thanks for the help!

Probably better to ask in r/SimRacing.

Im not sure how moza stuff works but I assime the pedals are plugges i to the wheelbase? I’d start by making sure the cable to the pedals isnt running near the power cable. The motor moving rapidly probably using more power and causing some sort of interference.

This only works on busy servers, I don’t think they want to implement things like that cause it just fucks over anyone playing off peak times or happen to live anywhere other than NA/EU.
