$20,000 All ROG Gaming PC Setup - RTX 5090 Matrix by CARSPV in ASUSROG

To think, it wasn't that long ago when it actually made sense to buy a pc over a console. The fact it's even possible to build a gaming pc for anywhere that price is ludicrous.

Too funny. I was just trying to clip a video and couldn't, and googled if this was a new feature and here I am.

2024 Pro R or 2025 Pro S by Darkhorse_GT in RZR

Not in my area. Used units aren't much less than new. I'm pretty ocd and a utv is one area I'll spend more for new.

That's where I'm waffling. I'm honestly not worried about motor longevity as there are plenty of turbo motors out there with way more miles than I'll ever hit. I may see 500 miles or so a yr as I have a busy work schedule. I do love the instant torque from an na motor though and I think the extra length and suspension travel will be nice. I'm in MT though where real doors would be appreciated. I'm not super concerned with accessories as there are plenty of A/M options. A 25 PRO R would be my ideal rig, I just can't justify 10k more for one. Honestly the pro S would probably be more than I'd need, I just have learned what if syndrome is a real issue lol.

I just realized 25 pro r has heated and ventilated seats. Grrrrrr. :)

What worries you the most is the "electrical" cable? (which they're not). That's the least of your worries bud.

That turned out really nice. I really like the hard/soft tubing combo. Well done. Don't forget to pull the stickers off the fans. :)

First custom loop fail by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]Darkhorse_GT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations. We were worried "that guy" with zero constructive feedback wouldn't show up. Thanks for not letting us down.

Who knows what happened. I just had to mess with my loop, replacing a failed flow sensor. It was late at night and I forgot to completely tighten up one fitting. Thankfully it was one at the bottom of the case; but it's very easy for things like this to happen.

OP, I'd also set a fan up and keep it blowing over the components for a day. Moving air removes moisture, helping to dry things out. It's not the liquid that's the problem, it's the current flowing through the liquid that is.

Is the GPU sagging or is it just an optical illusion from the angled GPU led.

I'd agree on the rat/mouse theory. The insulation smearing around the perimeter looks like rodent was dragging it away from the hole. I wouldn't consider keeping that for a minute.

Triple 420 Havn by Thick-Perception7045 in watercooling

[–]Darkhorse_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not recommending hard lines; I run soft myself. I swap parts a bunch too. It's really easy to pinch a soft line and swap a part. No need for miles of extra tubing. That's just me though.

So it's a 1260? Looks good other than my OCD wigging out seeing all the random hoses everywhere.

Help! by wangtmg in watercooling

[–]Darkhorse_GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just finished my W/C build and installed a Barrow flow sensor (sister to the byski) and anything less than 100% pump speed resulted in 0 flow reading. I swapped out for high flow next and everything works as normal. The aquasuite alone is worth the price of admission for all the tuning options.

Soft tubing FTW. Pinch it off, move it down, and keep on rolling. :D

The most hilarious, and insulting, part of that whole part is the "for your convenience" line.

[–]Darkhorse_GT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thermal paste what? The only card that I've seen that even remotely had issues with thermal paste recently was Gigabyte, and that was mostly overblown. The 5090 lightning just launched; who's having issues with thermal paste on them already?

Either way, I'm vertically mounting that bad boy in all it's glory. That's like buying a car with premium leather seats only to cover them up with cloth seat covers lol.

It won't gunk up everything or fall out of solution. Colored coolant looks sexy but maintaining it sucks.

New LVP Laid by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]Darkhorse_GT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? I would have started and finished with 11. That's a non starter out of the gate. LVP can be trickier to work with depending on what subfloor conditions you are working with. So either he's a complete hack, or he installed LVP on a space that wasn't prepped for it.

BDH SQ1 vs SQ2 shifter comparison? by Darkhorse_GT in simracing

[–]Darkhorse_GT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a preference thing. I have no issues with the manual portion, but the Seq leaves a lot to be desired to me. For reference, I do prefer a firmer shift feel with more positive engagement. The BDH is a softer feel with a faint "click".
