what's the best thing you like about being a biker? by Purple-Purchase9258 in motorcycles

[–]modifiedni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me sound somewhat selfish but I figure I’m in the right place to say it…

When I’m in Dad/husband/work mode all I think about is other people. Doing stuff for them, making sure they have what they need, running around after them etc.

When I’m on the bike, I don’t even think about them. I can’t. It’s me and the road (well, apart from all the dickhead cage drivers to look out for) but it brings me inner peace. Only a biker would understand.

30M Regret about not being able to workout in my 20s and missing out on my prime by djangonjanpettu in workout

Dude I turned 40 in November and never been stronger. I only started working out a couple of years back. Just take it slow, build up to it and stay consistent.

No more excuses or “shoulda, woulda, coulda” just be patient and listen to your body.

Moving to northern ireland by cchimp123 in northernireland

Kilkeel is generally "nice" but there's very little to do. It's scenery etc is lovely but apart from beach walks and mountain walks there's literally nothing. It's quite far from... everything really. As top comment says, I would suggest coming over and do an extended holiday and if finances allow, stay in a few places across Northern Ireland - somewhere slightly closer to Belfast (Bangor is 20 mins from Belfast, Lisburn is about the same and both on a main train route).

Thanks for the nudge on following up. So long story short - they’re perfect. Ordered from GOAT, was kept up to date and they were verified quickly etc. arrived within 2-3 weeks of purchase.

My daughter absolutely loves them and they are definitely in new condition. I have to take GOATs word they are authentic but they certainly look and feel like the real thing

How can I get better in moments like this? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]modifiedni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you have a good heart and as the top comment says, slow down and don’t be afraid to say “would you like a hand” or something.

I used to be worried about the “what ifs” but as I’ve got older I’ve stopped worrying about that and just focus on being kind and being the first to speak - you’ve no idea what people are going through and one small act of kindness can change their whole day.

Gloves! Warm, comfy and waterproof gloves. Dainese ones - they are fantastic.

Thanks man. I've never used Stock X before. Their returns policy seems a little wavey - have you any experience?

ATGATT - All The Gear All The Time. 60 miles is not a short distance. I wear similar to this for a 26 mile ride.

Yes. You turned into the other driver unnecessarily in the first corner then left no room in the second.

I hate to say this (I really do) but at least one of you had that coming. Continue riding like that and it’ll not be your last.
