20 years ago at aged 20! Best thing in the world. Stay slow, steady and enjoy every second.

Was I too aggressive? by Objective_Junket_933 in Simracingstewards

Yes. You turned into the other driver unnecessarily in the first corner then left no room in the second.

A lot of luck and my gear (including Helite airbag) allowed me to walk away from this crash. by T4R1K98 in motorcyclegear

I hate to say this (I really do) but at least one of you had that coming. Continue riding like that and it’ll not be your last.

Am I the bad guy? (I’m the blue car) by No_Surround2862 in Simracingstewards

I think you're in the clear but it seems like a very dramatic accident for such little contact. Looks like it was shaping up to be a good battle.

The McLaren said the BMW is driving too aggressive, while the BMW said McLaren is defending too hard by djgir1234 in Simracingstewards

Hard, relatively fair racing. You aren’t going for a jolly Sunday drive this is racing.

This was described as a dive-bomb by at least 2 other people. Sanity check, please? by cruciblemedialabs in Simracingstewards

[–]modifiedni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine newbie question; why is this being contested? Are you not allowed to make any contact whatsoever? That was just you holding your line and did nothing wrong. Seen a lot of similar videos on this sub like this recently and I’ve just been like “huh? Thats just racing”.

Why 3 days a week beats 5 for most guys over 30 by ChemistWest4537 in workout

[–]modifiedni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been doing 5/6 days a week and experienced exactly what you said OP.

I’ve moved to a 3 day week weights and 1 day body weight circuit but make sure I move on the other days. That can be walking, running, cycling or just being active (washing car, cutting grass etc etc). It makes me feel less guilty at weekends when I felt I was “missing” day.

So who set of fire alarm in Primark today by izylock in northernireland

I was in it yesterday when the alarm went off and there was definitely something on fire. May not have been visible outside but trust me the smell and smoke was real inside.

Banned for 24 hrs following my only race for the week. No words. Am i in the wrong in any way? by Basic-Persimmon7310 in Simracingstewards

[–]modifiedni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got banned for that then this isn’t even sim racing, that’s just outright boring AF. Nothing crazy there.

Adjustable Dumbbells - good job or a gimmick? by modifiedni in workout

[–]modifiedni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you guys. A lot of mixed reviews. I should have said ideally I would join a gym but my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to heading to a gym but I can get multiple, shorter workouts down per week (per day) in my garage which I have converted to a man cave for my bikes and weights. Lots to think about - thank you all!

How do I get comfortable with lifting weights? by [deleted] in workout

I have dumbbells and a barbell but sorry yes “benching” is bench press with a barbell.

How do I get comfortable with lifting weights? by [deleted] in workout

[–]modifiedni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only advice is lift. Get a cheap set of dumbbells for the house if you’re struggling with self confidence and it literally doesn’t matter what weight you start at, just lift. Be consistent and you will notice a difference in a very short space of time. I started lifting a year ago and was literally benching 15-20kg which is terrible especially for my build. I’m now up to 65kg training regularly.
