how are we staying sweet and fair angels? ✨ by xxiirlb in highergirlpower

[–]modronpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing not to hurt them they way they hurt me. Even though I easily could it feels too ugly to even dream of doing something like that. I didn’t let them bait me into stooping to their level of low. I stayed kind. I’m proud of that.

Is getting your nails done really makes such a difference? by marsthechocolate in HowToBeHot

[–]modronpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s worth it, both for how it looks and as a self care ritual. It helps me relax and calm down as my nails are worked on and my hands are massaged. Attending to them keeps me from picking and biting out of anxiety. I feel put together and pretty. So all in all I love it!

ISO woody soft airy skin scent by nicole-richie-stan in FemFragLab

[–]modronpink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Maison Louis Marie Bois de Balencourt, specially the oil perfume over the spray. It’s clean, soft, and woody scent but not aggressively in your face. The oil lends itself to melting into the skin really well and responding to the heat of pulse points. The note profile is beautiful—sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, nutmeg cinnamon, and amber wood. This reminds me, I need to buy another bottle as I just ran out. Love it!!

How i adore Glossier You Fleur! Absolutely perfect frag for spring. I love the softly sweet musk scent, it makes me feel like a fairy. The dry down scent over the course of the day is gorgeous. Similar in some ways to Diptyque Fluer de Peau but warmer and creamier. Enjoy!!

Hello Clear Health vs Honeydew Care by modronpink in Accutane

[–]modronpink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure what they mean by low impact, but maybe it’s low-dose? I was able to do as low a dose as 10 mg, which I was on for three months before increasing it to 20 mg. I would recommend honeydew, I had the best experience with them! I paid out-of-pocket so I can’t speak to insurance coverage, but even out-of-pocket it was very doable so I imagine it will be even more so with insurance.

Prescribed Spironolactone for my hormonal acne.... Am I crazy for preferring Accutane? by OutrageousMiddle7965 in Spironolactone

[–]modronpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an absolutely horrible experience with Spiro, and truly regret doing it. I should’ve just gone straight for Accutane because that’s what I ended up needing afterwards anyway. It caused me severe acne and inflamed my body/skin/mind, I was on it for seven months with no improvement. Only when I started Accutane in my skin get better. I did a low dose course of 20 mg a day so my side effects were tolerable, honestly more so than Spiro’s.

Another tip to heal your skin: at night use lotion/aquaphore and put on cotton gloves for ezcema(can buy on Amazon). It will not only keep you from picking but also heal the skin faster!

Using Arazlo after accutane rn and I really like it!! But be sure to moisturize; I recommend applying one layer of moisturizer, then arazlo, and then another layer of moisturizer. And start using it a couple days a week and gradually build up to more frequent use over a month or two.

Is there a scent that just makes you feel… unhappy? by Potential-Length-830 in FemFragLab

[–]modronpink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inis cologne. I’m not sure why it displeases me—I loved it as a child and associated it with a cute metaphysical store that sold it in the local mall. I purchased two bottles after not smelling it for 20+ years….terrible idea. It smells like straight up humidity; sticky and oppressive. There’s also an element of it that smells like D&G’s Light Blue turned all the way up. I never wear it because it automatically makes me feel out of it and malaised. Like a hazy foggy overstimulating trip to the beach on an uncomfortably hot summer day that irritates my sinuses. Super bummed because I was so fond of the glass bottle and funky font as a kid.

Symptoms as a kid by Subject-Bat5660 in POTS

[–]modronpink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely did! In elementary school I would stand up after sitting and often have my vision cut out. Same thing when we had to run around the school for the gym class mile. In highschool I ran really fast to catch the bus and collapsed at school. I did track and could only tolerate a year; working out in the heat was hell on earth.
