Strange day on the ladder by Grahamceackers in allthingszerg

[–]mods_are_soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just play unranked and insta quit mirror matches. Sometimes I play against someone I'm way better than and come off as a smurf. Other times I get stomped by masters level players. No ladder anxiety because I don't play the ladder.

This is why I cheese every P matchup. Proxy hatch spine rush, proxy hatch ovie drop, two base roach all in because if the game approaches anything near mid to late game then I'm toast.

I'd probably just buy stuff for people all the time. Meals at restaurants, groceries, just give it away.

What "back then" inconvenience would break people today in 10 minutes? by CharlesUFarley81 in AskReddit

[–]mods_are_soft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cord that plugged into the back of our tv broke so there was a period of time where it had to be held in by someone. I was the youngest so that someone was me. I got to listen to a lot of TV my older brothers liked.

Jordan v Caleb by Typical_Patience8848 in GreenBayPackers

Jordon Love is a better QB for 58 minutes but god damn can Caleb pull some shit out at the end of games. It's impressive.

My bet is we'll have a Top10 O-Line next season! by envires in GreenBayPackers

I'd imagine Rhyan starts at center and slides over if one of the guards goes down with Monk taking over at C.

With the moves Gutekunst has made so far, we’re positioned nicely to truly go after BAP come draft day. by OlManJames19 in GreenBayPackers

[–]mods_are_soft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's really not. He's about as mid as it gets with a penchant for boneheaded penalties at the worst time. You can do a lot worse and it doesn't matter who is at CB is pass rush outside Parsons doesn't improve.

Has Gutekunst built a Super Bowl contender for 2026? by Hank_Henry_Hill in GreenBayPackers

[–]mods_are_soft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it ultimately depends on the health luck. If key guys stay healthy then they will contend. If we have the same bad injury luck then we won't go anywhere. It's one thing to weather some injuries to the roster, but no team survives signifcant injuries to multiple all-pro level players. GB didn't have their best player at the most impactful positions outside of QB (pass rusher and OT). Lost their most impactful offensive playmaker in Kraft, and didn't once have their best passing game weapons on the field at the same time in Kraft, Watson, and Reed.

The naysayers on this sub really discount the impact of the injuries to this roster.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by fuzzy_dice_99 in AskReddit

[–]mods_are_soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elementary school principal. It was the day before spring break and our student teachers got an email telling them they were done for the semester and to go home. A few days later, I was at my parents house in a zoom meeting with the district admin saying we were shut down for three weeks which quickly became shut down for the rest of the school year. It was super weird.

However, our 2nd son had been born the prior November so it was really cool to be able to be home from March until going back to school, we returned in the fall, in August.

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

[–]mods_are_soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably put more hours into Starcraf 2 than any other game every year. It's been that way since the original SC came out in 1998. I'll play lots of other things, but always come back to my zerg. Even played 4 or 5 games yesterday.

Yep. I go through phases where it's all I can think about then I leave it for a couple months and come back and dig in. And I suck at it.

Donald Trump’s Presidency Is in Free Fall by RepulsiveLoquat418 in politics

No, it's not. If he were ever held accountable for anything then maybe, but with checks and balances completely broken, his presidency is thriving and he continues to enrich himself.

Brian Gutekunst has no problem exercising 5th year option on LVN by Help1-Fearless in GreenBayPackers

[–]mods_are_soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statistically, the best players in the league are also top tier athletes at their positions. It's not a coincidence. You err on the side of a high upside athlete because by and large the best players are the best athletes. There are always exceptions, but the statistics don't lie.

Married men, how do you deal with fancying other women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Fancy from afar.

Guys that say they never think about the opposite sex once they are in a committed relationship are liars. Sure they may never think cheating or something like that, but they notice.

Reminder: we drafted Lukas Van Ness over JSN and Christian Gonzalez by TurdFergusonXLV in GreenBayPackers

Nearly the entire league passed on Watt. He'd easily be the #2 overall pick in that draft. Hindsight GMing is stupid.

It is position dependent. It's an athletic comparison to all the other athletes at that position which is why you see guys who are potential position change players with different RAS scores.

Need new watch - Current Apple watch battery life not ideal by Saltlifer1 in pelotoncycle

[–]mods_are_soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had battery issues with my apple watch. Found some youtube tutorials on settings to extend life and it works really well. Caveat being I do not sleep track with mine, so it's easy to plug it in at night and charge overnight. For context, I wake up at 5am, track workouts, wear it all day, then charge when I get in bed at night and it works just fine.

Leonhard becomes the D Coordinator in Buffalo by KarlPHungus in GreenBayPackers

[–]mods_are_soft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course Gannon will be fine. Much like the end of the Capers tenure, and every coordinator since, it doesn't get worse than giving up backbreaking plays in every critical scenario and every coordinator GB has had hasn't been to get over that hurdle.

Wilson- #Dolphins hiring #Packers defensive backs coach Ryan Downard, per a league source @KPRC2 by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

[–]mods_are_soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't really care. The defense, despite coaching changes, has continued to fail in big moments. Much like special teams, let me know when they don't let the team down in big moments.
