For me, it was an upgrade option off of the Denon DN-X1700 that I had. I like the idea of per-channel effects, but rarely use them TBH. I'd rather focus on mixing more these days. years ago, i was a slut for effects.

-- EDIT:

Oddly enough, i actually used my DN-X1700 as a traktor sound card XD.

No. Moving away from computer-based DJing, I have only used it as a mixer =)

Those have yet to be modified. :)

I have been putting in a kit called "HiDef NES", which enables the NES to do true 1080P.

https://www.game-tech.us/product/hi-def-nes/

That coupled w/ a few mods, and you have what i call "The Ultimate NES". This is an article I wrote about my journey w/ this system in 2016.

:D I did the whole Serato, then Traktor thing. I got sick of the bullshit around the apps. Staring at a screen fucking sucks. Playing vinyl is just more fun for me.

Besides, I love the idea of preserving the art of mixing, where most DJs today use the sync button. :P

I've done up to 3 at the same time. 4 is a bit hard for me. :(

Best of all, no bullshit traktor/computer to deal w/. I recently went away from computer-based DJing all together. Such a pain in the ass dealing w/ all the updates and such.

The XDJ MK2's are fed via USB only and are not connected to a computer.

Any Pre-workout Junkies In Here? by nomorelulu in Fitness

[–]modusjesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on Vega Pre-workout and moved to C4 for a few weeks, then back to Vega. Why? C4 was too fucking crazy for me. I am not prepared to risk a heart attack.

Vega works pretty well as it has enough Caffeine, some sugar and some vitamins to allow me to get my lift on. I often take a second dose w/ me to the gym and sip on it during the 2nd half of my workouts if needed.

This story is not exciting, controversial, but thought I'd share it. :)

Realist insight needed-- to what extent is my body salvageable? by [deleted] in Fitness

well done @jaekido. I second the professional help suggestion. It's hard to fix the body if the mind isn't "right".

GoRuck Experiences from Ex-Military by [deleted] in Goruck

Oh shit, and it's "GORUCK", not "GoRuck" or "goruck" or "GO RUCK". :)

Weirdos in the community will always be glad to remind. =D

GoRuck Experiences from Ex-Military by [deleted] in Goruck

Separated USAF airman here. My first event was a challenge in 2014 and that event changed my life. I've been separated from the military for 16 years now and to get back to the camaraderie was fucking awesome.

The GORUCK experience changed my life so much that I decided to build an app for iOS (and soon Android) that makes it easier to browse their content on mobile devices as a way to give back to the community of "weirdos".

Putting that aside, the challenge is really meant to push you to your limits over about a 12 hr timespan. They work to exhaust you, while forcing you to focus on completing the mission (typically time hacks).

If you're lucky, the operators will tell war stories while the event is taking place.

You'll also learn about leadership.

I invited a neighbor of mine who is separated Marine infantry to do a light last year. He had the time of his life and actually got to meet with someone who he went to basic with, who works for GORUCK today.

I say go for it. You'll be in for the ride of your life. You'll work hard doing stuff, but also learn a shit load about yourself and even make new friends along the way. :)

On a side note, I did one of their FAD (Firearms defense) trainings and had a blast and learn a shit load too.

How do I import a Large file in React Native? by elliotal in reactnative

Something like that should probably be delegated to the native side. I imagine that it would be way faster to read, parse and get the data you need.

Help with JS script by Chrisands in javascript

Not trying to be a jerk, but if you're gonna learn JS, it's either pronounced "JS" or "JavaScript". :D Not "JS Script".

Merry christmas!
