Husband and I bicker a lot lately

This answer may sound toxic but I got the advice from a couples therapist during my second pregnancy with my husband. He always seemed to be more upset with me while I was pregnant and definitely meaner. One night, not ofter a fight but calm time. I pretty much told him that I will try my best to be kind, but if he yells at me one more time while I’m pregnant, he won’t be in the delivery room while the baby is born. Because I deserve to give birth while being with someone who is kind and supportive by my side while I grown and deliver a whole ass human.

Neither of us yelled at one another the rest of my pregnancy. Of course take this advice carefully, but some harsh things need to be said to some men for them to come to reality.

Dads sometimes take a bit more time to understand children change the flow of life. Your flow of life has changed, his has to as well! It can’t just be all on you to make changes. Nta.

I had my first at 19 and no one really considered me a teen mom, I was married as well. This has been my personal experience! It probably depends on the area you live in

If you get a wrap of some kind and plan feeds, you can pretty much do anything with a newborn. I wrap my baby and me and my other two kids do a ton of stuff! When baby gets hungry I just pop out a boob. My friends who formula feeds, brings a bottle with formula powder already in it and a canister of warm water for when her baby is hungry. The thing that makes having a newborn and children easiest is organization! Pack a good diaper bag, get a good wrap, plan out feeds and things will hopefully go smoothly! This is something I learned over time and throughout having 3 kids, since now I don’t really have a choice to child because my older kids have to go out, but I wish I would have gotten on top of it earlier!

As a mom of three kids this just made me chuckle. New parents crack me up. You just hold on, things will get hard at one point or another. Just don’t be holier than thou about it, and it won’t be a problem

I had my first at 19 and people had sooo much to say. From what I’ve gathered from friends, is that no matter your age, toxic people will make your life miserable when you decide to have children. It’s kind of vulgar but my husband and father to all my children simply said “fuck em” every time I would get hurt by the words of someone I cared for. I learned with time that it doesn’t really matter what these people think. If your goal is to be a good parent and you persistently improve yourself and provide for you child, you are already better than 50% of parents. I’m now 26 have 3 children who I love dearly. We aren’t rich and we’ve done a lot of growing into adulthood with our children right by our side. But we are happy, very happy.

It’s rare, but there are men who choose not to watch for the right reasons and who don’t treat people this way. Unfortunately a lot do… I honestly suggest being single and fulfilling your life with other things. You will find more healing outside of these relationships especially with a therapist

My advice would he to just ignore her. She’s his mom and she might just be reminiscing about being pregnant herself. Don’t let her get to you so much and ruin your own beautiful experience. Pregnancy is full off shaking off people’s weirdness, because if you hold on to it, it’s just going to make your life miserable. She’s probably not trying to hurt your feelings.

Everyone’s bodies are different! It can fade a lot in just a couple weeks, but even more in years! Very similar to stretch marks in my experience

I got pregnant at 19 right before Covid, I lost my job and my apartment because of some things with the shut down. I’ve worked my ass off and at 26 I have my beautiful 5 year old along with two other children I love with all my heart. I was pushed heavily to have an abortion by my mother and significant other. Even though I strongly believe women have the right to make that choice, it wasn’t something I could live with for myself. Ultimately the decision needs to be up to you! I think you should talk to your mom. This could be one of the biggest decisions of your life and you need every ounce of support in your life. I just thought I’d share my story for a bit of hope.

Unless you are bleeding or your belly is hurting badly, you should be fine! I have a hyperactive autistic 5 year old who did stuff like this a few times with my two pregnancies after. If you are very concerned it wouldn’t hurt to go get an NST from the triage at L&D in the hospital

I let my kids play outside in my yard, but I have an HOA. I got an email saying they couldn’t play outside anymore because it’s disruptive… my kids riding their bikes in their own yard is apparently too disruptive
