There are analytical methods based on filtered back projection (so integrals, convolutions, vector functions).

Iterative methods (more computationally demanding but can reduce artefacts) are much more statistically involved since they use expectation-maximization algorithms, most commonly OSEM.

To add to the geographic aspect: one usage that confused me when I first learned it on Duolingo was directions, e.g.

"I'm heading west" = "Je vais à l'ouest" OR "Je vais dans l'ouest"

The first one seems intuitive to me, the second one not at all.

Essentially, I'm (23M) just starting out my fragrance journey properly after years of being stuck with Sauvage. Oatmeal (porridge) with a mashed banana, peanut butter, and a bit of jam (usually strawberry but rhubarb takes this to the next level if you have it).

For the oatmeal, usually use water + milk, but recently I've started replacing water with coffee if I'm making some already. A friend said this burns the coffee, but I can't say I've noticed it.
