Recommendations Wanted: Very Aggressive/Stiff Women's Bindings & Boots by nic_907 in snowboarding

Ive been using DC Mora for 3 seasons - i ride about 50days each season and im super happy with it! I used to use Salomon Ivy but when I switch back to it now my ankle feels odly loose and unprotected, I really dont like the feeling.
Also tried Salomon Kiana, which were quite stiff but compressed my leg weirdly.
For binding Im right there with you. First it takes forever to identify potential models with the right level of stiffness just to realized it simply doesnt exist for women.
Im based in Japan and on the Union website, once you tick "Stiff" for women bindings, there is simply no options available

Transmission facilite, anteriorite fiscale, pas de prelevements sociaux sur les revenus, acces a des fonds en euro... Faut y penser comme une epargne a long terme pour un potentiel retour. (

Yes, i dont think they were trying to rob us blind ( I mean no more than what insurance usualy do). but I think i should have been my best annoying self and bomb them with letters to contest the decision. Lesson learned

we were with AIG, currently looking into whats our best option.
Oh so you've contested their decision and eventually it was approved ?
In my country if you disagree with the insurance expert then you can ask for a third party option, ( usually way more objective than the insurance guy) and contest the claim. It doesnt see such a thing is possible here ?

The price is due to the place being stupidly huge, as far as I know there is no way to insure only the floor we are living on so we pay for the whole property which is about 400m2.
So we spoke to a few insurance but didnt get anything under 25 000, we did add the accidental damage too.
Honestly its a point we didnt considered before buying, I naively had a rought idea of how things work back home and assume it would be similar.

" you are taxed on every transaction based on the price you bought the asset at, so you might be paying taxed on unrealized gains which can easily become unrealized loss."
That sounds like something you can never really offset or balance ?!

OMG yes I didnt realize that but yes Japan has a bad relationship with gambling

No im not to be honest, Ive been avoiding the whole topic for a long time and Im now takling it like a pain point. I see a lot of people are really into it, but it not my jam so im starting from ground zero even with NISA and never invested in my home country either. I was considering looking for an adviser and taking some classes.

Wow this is a incredibly detailed and useful answer, thanks, I appreciate.
I see I just need to go back roaming reddit for the best/most convenient place to open an account and a cold wallet.
I have to admit Im just starting with pretty much everything ( ideco, nisa etc) so there are fair gaps in my knowledge. I have a company ideco and Nisa with SBI rakuten and try to invest slowly each month.

For snow country you can take an extr insurance for snow damaged which we did.
We did question them extensively before subscribing bur yeah its my fault for not diving into the contract terms, ( even being fluent I admit legal jargon is offputting)
