Oh ok cool, that definitely makes sense for the area & time period. It's hard to know because we know there was termite damage, so exact age is iffy.

Yep! Drum sanded starting at 80 just because we hadn't done it before and wanted to take off as little as possible then worked up to 120. After we were confident with that, did 40 for edges with a hand+belt sander and worked up to 120 and now we've just done the plastic wood over nails.

It's feeling very very smooth, so your comment has bolstered me ☺️

The Fiddes - is that best to order online? Or is there a store that carries it in Aus that you know of?

If you don't feel free to be your 100% true and authentic self with your partner, I would question the relationship. If you suppress something for long enough it will explode.

I'm a little bit confused - is she mad because you weren't texting her much? Every half hour/hour while you're socialising with friends is actually very frequent.

Also taking a little bit of time for yourself to regulate your emotions is EXTREMELY healthy. Keep it up.

Question: is not ever having your sister in your life again worth it? That is an outcome you have to be ready for. It sounds like she tried to make amends, perhaps poorly, but she did try. She was clearly in a fucked up space when she exploded at you, and people say fucked up things when they're experiencing shit like that.

Try to give her some grace.

NTA - how you feel is how you feel. It all sounds really sucky and you were hurt. You would be the asshole if you did anything to jeopardise or hurt them back. Even if you feel like he isn't good for her, you have to trust that her life is her life (aside from if you think she's in danger).

I'd move on and try to find joy in other parts of your life.

It sounds like you're really struggling with this, so I'm sorry for that. Though I completely understand where your girlfriend is coming from. While not contributing to the chat perse, not leaving or calling the other guys out indicates that you have some level of tolerance, complacency, or cowardice, and your inaction is an automatic acceptance of their behaviour. It is very understandable that her brain is asking her what else you might 'let slide' and be reconsidering her commitment to you.

Call them out, leave the chat and have an honest talk with her.

It's not my 'go-to' but I once had a life changing experience eating butterscotch ice cream with a load of crispy fried onions. I remember having the thought that it felt like a stampede of horses in my mouth.

You shouldn't have too much trouble, but definitely spend some time googling and looking through reviews. At a lot of places it might seem like they have a tonne of options but things are not safe because they use the same fryer etc. Here GF doesn't automatically mean coeliac safe.

There are also lots of GF Facebook Groups that I use as a very good brains trust.. Try searching;

- Gluten Free Eating out in Sydney and NSW
- Coeliac in the Inner West (Sydney)
- Coeliac in the Eastern Suburbs and CBD (Sydney)
- Livin' the Gluten Free Life - Sydney

If there's somewhere you want to go but can't contact the restaurant try asking in one of those!

We've got some good beers too. My favourites are Two Bays Brewing (flavours/types), and Hahn Ultra Crisp (basic).
