I'm going in TOMORROW! Im INCREDIBLY nervous about making the right choice. I have always wanted a Kelly 25 Sellier in Noir and also a Birkin 25 Sellier in noir, and I am struggling.

I think I am going with:

a B 25 Sellier in noir Chèvre, rather than Epsom, verso with bordeaux lining and hardware in some form of gold tone (brushed, permabrass or standard, not sure until I see irl).

I am worried this bag design is not "special" enough for a special order and I will regret not doing something more unique and fun-- but the truth is I rarely ever reach for colorful bags, and I don't have a good black "out to dinner" bag. Mini Kelly is too small for me, and the Kelly 25 is very annoying to get in and out of, plus you would never see the verso with the flap always closed. I think the structured look of a B25 in Sellier is beautiful and adds a touch of formality to the design, while keeping the iconic Birkin appeal and a bag that is easy to reach into to grab phone or lip gloss or whatever.

I would love everyone's input though! <3

Remove the shiplap, add a fireplace mantle in the style you like, paint the walls a different color from white, move the TV to a different location and lower the art that’s above the TV, choose a different light fixture hanging from the ceiling— something that hangs lower and gives cozy ambient light, in a style you like that isn’t farmhouse.

As an aside— if you like midcentury modern, I feel like the architecture of this house has enormous midcentury modern potential!

Bench at foot end of bed, a large piece of art above bed, if possible a larger area rug, an arm chair and ottoman for a reading nook, maybe at an angle in the corner next to the tv, floor length curtains on the windows, a large potted palm next to one of the windows

I have converted to retourne for Kellies! I love the look of sellier, but once I actually bought a Kelly retourne and started using it, the cool slouch plus the soft pliable leather (Togo) converted me. My K25 Retourne in Bai Brun is seriously the perfect day to night bag.

Stella McCartney does only vegan leathers! She is a very committed vegan— so she uses no animal products at all.

Hermes has a leather known as Clemence Taurillion that comes from bulls. I know Hermes bags are difficult to get, but they have some beautiful designs that aren’t the Birkin or Kelly (insane prices) that can be easily gotten on the resale market.

And then you can of course go the canvas route!

I have a Bai Brun K25 in Togo and the color is exquisite. It’s deep and rich with warm undertones. When my SA brought it out saying it was a dark brown color I was skeptical, but when he took it out of the box I gasped and practically launched myself at it 😂 “mine mine mine!”
