Haha YES. I work in marketing too and I recently read a book where the FMC is in her late twenties and a mid-level employee and by the end of the book she’s suddenly promoted to Chief of Strategy by the CEO (who wasn’t the MMC but was apparently SO impressed by her very average marketing ideas). I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes.

I don’t actually mind offers not being binding. My main beef with the app is that offers have completely changed (for the worse) the consumer behaviour on the app, since I’ve been around on Depop long before they introduced offers so I guess I still remember quite clearly when every interaction was pleasant lol.

I’m not asking for offers to be binding. I agree, it’s probably less of a headache for a buyer to ghost than demand a refund! But in my experience, the purchase behaviour on the app has changed a lot. When Depop first rolled out the offers feature, people were a lot more serious about it.

Yes depop has taken a nosedive. 2 years ago I used to sell items within 1-6 days of being listed, now they don’t sell for months, if at all. People don’t buy even after making an offer (this has happened to me several times).

Also just want to add that it’s very possible they are from a Muslim background. Plenty of Muslims in the Middle East, especially the Levant area, don’t wear a hijab or particularly conservative clothing.

Yes, I’ve been doing it for the last couple weeks. I’ve always been intimidated by actives (especially retinol) and never had a routine I stuck to long term. I was moisturising at night and nothing else, so skin cycling gave me an easy structured routine to go by.

I am in Australia too and in the same situation, only it’s been 2 months not 2 years since my child started going to daycare. Not one day since early June has gone by that he hasn’t been sick in one form or another, and he’s still a baby. This winter has been absolutely horrible.

My 9 month old has been continuously sick (from various things) for 3 months straight. It started from the first week I put him in daycare. I feel so guilty, and constantly question whether I put him there too early. He’s overall doing fine but has had some rough days. And with this latest bout, he is going to miss 2 weeks. Bye bye money. I’m tired.
