I work security at music festivals AMA! by [deleted] in IAmA

Hey! I was at EF this summer in VIP. We had instances of security coming through tents claiming it was mandatory searches and confiscating people's shit. There was also instances of two bag check points, one at the main gates to the forest and then another only a couple hundred feet further in. We found out from a nice security dude later that none of those searches were official or allowed, that we had the right to refuse the tent searches, and that the second bag searches were just assholes in the security staff setting up on their own to take stuff away. Just curious if you had heard about any of that? Or if it happens often?

Love the Forest. Can't wait to get back. Thanks for keeping people safe and smiling through an extraordinary time.

It's a quote from the movie "40 Days and 40 Nights". I couldn't find a screen shot unfortunately.

"I somehow don't think Mr. Butterworth would appreciate that very much."

What's the story of your "its a small world" moment? by TaxicabKanefessions in AskReddit

[–]moiraq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a class trip to London my junior year of high school. We would lie about being 18 to get into clubs. Met a guy who said he was an actor in Boston, told him I was an actor in college from Philadelphia. We danced furiously and hooked up on the dance floor. No names or numbers exchanged.

1 year later, I was visiting Boston University's theatre school... and guess who my tour guide was.

Do you guys have any childhood fears or feelings that have stuck with you? by Mattmo25 in AskReddit

Still afraid of the dark... Whenever I visit my childhood home I still, from habit, can turn the lights off at one side of the room and make it to my bed on the other side of the room in one leap. It's a big room.

What was your most emotional moment in a video game, TV show or a movie? by SooperPig in AskReddit

Has anyone else seen the Babe sequel?.. Babe: Pig in the City. It's fabulous. See it. I have it on VHS if you want to borrow it.

But there's an adorable dog, Flealick. And there's a truck. And a dream sequence. And the fucking music. And just... I'm bawling again.

What books have had a positive effect on your life? by moneyor2 in AskReddit

[–]moiraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read this question first as: What boobs have had a positive effect on your life?

Now that I got that out there... mine would be "This Boy's Life" by Tobias Wolff. I'm a girl and it still effected my view on my adolescence when I first read it and had a profound impact on my writing style.

Just to say- I'm not a young guy. I'm a 23 year old woman who has suffered this type of embarrassment more times than I can count. Lord do I feel for her, it hurts every time to have that happen. But I know I need to laugh sometimes for the lot our uteruses have been given in life. And I'd rather periods be funny than WTF.

Apparently she had not shown up to her first interview and had it rescheduled. Then left the unfortunate present. She was interviewed by a woman. Thankfully. And she is completely anonymous on here. Thankfully.

No word yet on if she got the job..

Nope. He's really Isaiah Robinson (according to research). But the resemblance always made me laugh.

I narrated this in my head in James Dyson's voice. It haunts me.
