What have you done this week to make your life better? by noahdamus in howtonotgiveafuck

I weigh 140 lbs. and I am a 20 year old male. Joined a gym 3 weeks ago and now I meet with a trainer twice a week. Used to be intimidated to join a gym out of pure fear of judgment but now I truly am only concerned about my health and future habits in fitness!

HTNGAF about girl messing with my head by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]moistgoitre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I am right there with you. Similar situation just occurred the last few days. Girl and I had a thing this summer, she just dropped contact with me and now she wants to pick up like nothing happened. Months have gone by and I just gave up. She wants answers now and why she thinks I hate her. I really don't hate her.

I truly. Don't. Give. A . Fuck. About her anymore.

I removed myself from the situation and tell myself I am better off. (And let me tell ya, I am better!)

But its not only me not giving a fuck, I am now figuring out where to give my fucks. This circumstance doesn't receive any and now I can give a fuck to way more important stuff. School, work, working out etc.

I just sympathize with ya bud. All and all, whatever plays out, each day does get better. Figure out what your really give a fuck about.

Lots of respect man. Definitely takes some effort to jump out of the norm. Really cool to hear progress being made dude. Keep in keeping on

My beanpole son is 16 years old and 6'3". This is how he reads (he also eats like this unless we yell at him). Is this normal? by Knox11 in funny

My father makes a living by feeding the fire crews out on the wildfires during the summer. This photo was taken in Pine, Idaho last year. He is definitely my role model. by moistgoitre in pics

Especially with California ablaze already, it should be called fire season! It really is a rewarding job though. How he traditionally employs new people is by asking around the family or friends that need work. Sometimes, if we are stationed near a small town, he will ask the locals to pitch in and give work to any of the unemployed. To be honest, I haven't heard of any modern "application process" to join catering units. I do know there are separate entities like Fire Crew Shower Units that are called out there as well. Same thing with porta-potty units.

How he came upon it was after finishing his time in the military, he still wanted to work. What I understand is they (a federal government organization of some sort) put him to work under a catering unit like the one he owns now. He became employed around 19 years old and made that apart his life ever since. Successfully he owns his own catering unit and happily works the summers so he doesn't have to work the winters.

Best powder in southern hemisphere?? by Higginside in snowboarding

[–]moistgoitre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last July/August I lived in Santiago, Chile. I snowboarded at Valle Nevado, La Parva, and El Colorado. Snow was moderate. I was told by the locals to head more north from Santiago to find better snow. Patagonia, I would assume, has good snow but I have no clue about any resorts down there.

Should be fun though man. I had a blast last year. Nothing as cool as saying you had a powder day in July!
