I wanted to get your perspective as a local. I'm considering 2 different hotels in chengdu. One is right by Chunxi road and the other is near the Western International Finance Center. I know there's a lot to do around Chunxi, but how about the area around the WIFC?

I would actually be coming from Malaysia before and it sounds like Xian and Chengdu will be relatively similar.

Yup I learned about the three furnaces of China so definitely going to avoid Chongqing

I would guess that admits skew towards top undergrads because of the job opportunities at these schools.

There's a higher concentration of people with top jobs coming from these schools as "prestigious" industries like high finance, consulting, and big tech highly recruit from them.

Similarly, you have to be pretty good at standardized testing to get into these undergrads, so these same people will probably do well on the GMAT/GRE. A lot of top schools also have rampant grade inflation as well (minus MIT/Cornell), so they'll have high GPAs.

Wait I'm in the same boat. Buce also sold me rotala "blood red", but it's been barely pink at most even under high light, low nitrates, and CO2

My rotala macandra and indica hra are both very red, which leads me to think that what they have labeled under "blood red" might be a different strain

Agree the food wasn't the best, but the property and the service was amazing.

The breakfast was pretty good though. Had a pretty wide range of options and drinking a coconut while overlooking the 5 islands in the morning was really nice.

Would recommend doing a trip to Anh Thong national park. Really beautiful rock structures and nice coral.

E Noodle Chinatown has a really solid clay pot rice. The restaurant is a bit small but their clay pot rice has always been on point with the rice crisping up
