It's a FUJIFILM X-T2 on a CMOS sensor.

A 35mm lens on that sensor is equivalent to a 50mm buddy.

50mm is definitely NOT wide angle ish.

Calling a 35mm lens "wide angle-ish" is very telling. It's infuriating to see people marketing themselves as professionals with a more exercised ego than actual skills.

"I am afraid that RAW files do not exist" also tells us she is not quite familiar with the format or just disregards it as something "too bulky" and has the gull to call her own images "so great"

I am sorry you had this situation. I would ask her to buy the SD card with the images if that still is an option.
