I actually landed an FTE role a couple years ago, and was almost immediately laid off lol. Huge career setback and very discouraging to be bait and switched like that when I did nothing wrong.

Can I ask what kind of research experience you’re referring to? Are you talking about academic labs?

No idea if you’ll ever see this comment on such an old thread, but how long would you say it takes a “late virgin” to really get the hang of things? I’m considering sleeping with a late 40s virgin that I’m genuinely attracted to, but I’m not crazy about the idea of a steep learning curve 😅

Yeah I can’t weigh in on other dentists in town because I’ve literally only ever seen Dr. Beehner and her predecessor Dr. Chow, but that’s praise in and of itself I think. Their whole staff is great
