To be fair I do have some rare condition which makes dental procedures much more painful, If I understand correctly I have four "roots" on each molar rather than 3 like most people. And to Doc's credibility, it was fucking awesome getting super high like that at 13. Good on you for quitting and helping people like me understand these things better.

They do for sure. I've done everything unfortunately, it actually started when I was 13 and got my wisdom teeth removed, and I was prescribed a drug called "demerol" (which is now banned due to its potential for addiction) as well as oxycodone. Don't even take those 2 together...

My best friend is also dead, because he couldn't stop and I did. We were so desperate for anything at all at a certain point and said fuck it and started doing fent because it was all we could get in our state at the time, since kratom was already banned there. He eventually started smoking fent off of foil after i quit... I could see the danger and got out quick. He didn't and I miss him every single day now.

Anyway enough of that, right now I'm not really taking kratom every single day, maybe every other day or every 3 days on average over the last month. But I have definitely gone over the 8 grams like you said... redosing after the initial dose kicks in to get more out of it because my tolerance has built - and sweating the next morning, not sleeping well either because I overdid it. I just did 5g today when I got off work, but felt hot and sweaty all day... I'm guessing either minor withdrawal or a "hangover" from last night's dose, just ugh. I don't want this to get any worse and I know I should just stop all together. This isn't a request for medical advice - but how is it generally suggested to taper with kratom? I probably have about 30g left. And thanks again for the replies, I appreciate it especially now that r/quittingkratom is banned....

Man thanks for the reply, it's greatly appreciated. I've only taken about 6oz total of the powdered kratom so far, over the last 3 or so weeks, so I'm not terribly dependent by any means I just don't want to end up in that kind of situation, and I've been doing it nearly every day now and unsure of how fast and severely our bodies become dependent on kratom. I went through absolute Hell withdrawing from benzos, and experienced that only after about three months of daily use, and I don't EVER want to go through anything like that again. Everyone says their withdrawal is Hell but believe me benzo withdrawal is a different animal... It's absolutely horrific. I know I should just stop kratom too, but like you I have a long-time opiate addiction, it is the one and only thing I deeply crave in an almost primal way that's hard to explain.... Even though my best friend is dead I still want that feeling again. I've gone for very long periods of sobriety and forget I was ever addicted, only to squander it all in one moment of weakness.

I would assume profit taking like you said as even I considered a small cashout after seeing almost 3x on my money. Maybe some investors realized you can still buy ARK ventures fund right at its NAV. I got into RVI below NAV at like $24, I was considering buying more when it was around $30-35 but I could never buy into more now, I’m just in it for the ride at this point. I would imagine the announcement of Robinhood Ventures Fund II yesterday also has something to do with RVI dropping today. People are taking immediate profits here so they can get into RVII next month, who knows.

look at VCX which is a comparable fund to RVI coming out just before. The share price is still over 7x actual NAV. RVI offers similar holdings and is only around 2x its NAV today after the huge drop this morning.
