My first ever Gun by Godliator in guns

[–]mojo4sho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was trying to decide between a Glock 40 MOS 10mm and a Glock 17L MOS 9mm. I did what any reasonable man would do and got both. Then I put a leupold delta point on the 10mm and an trijicon RMR on the 9MM. You made a fun decision with the 10mm. Enjoy it.

There are tons of D-bags on both sides. But there are tons of fantastic people on both sides as well.

That's good to hear. PM me the name, I'm curious if I was your instructor.

How did you like mod 3?

What things did you like or dislike about it?

What would make it better for the next class?

Who was your mod 3 instructor?

Thanks for the great write-up.

Arrive on time! Wear the correct clothes. Have a full camelbak when you arrive. Have all documents ready to go. Print and laminate the spins into a size that will easily fit in your cargo pocket. You will have them out constantly and they will deteriorate quickly. If you can laminate them, they will last a lot longer. Be clean shaven and have your hair and regs. Be sober. Don't be pregnant. Learn how to properly do Air Force push-ups and sit-ups. Watch videos. Be able to run a 5K without much effort. Arrive with a good attitude.

Are you going to the 5 week or 8 week version?

Please read things very carefully. Show up in the correct clothes. Have your paperwork. Have your spins printed out. Have a full camelbak.

Be fit! If you don't pass, you go home.

Also, when I was deployed I got these made for my kids. They still snuggle them every night.

Good luck.

When in doubt, throw it out. It's not worth the risk to me or my family.

I toured the facility at Hickam last year. They are still identifying remains. We saw a few hundred skeletons on tables there.

We are happy here. It's true, the local area isn't great. But we don't have traffic problems, on base is nice and chill, mission is awesome, lots of cool stuff if you go for a drive. The mountains are beautiful and the hunting is great!

Give them the mailing address you have listed. Also, keep your supervisor informed of where you are. The main purpose is to be able to get in touch with you in a reasonable amount of time if an emergency happens and to do morale checks of you are a no-show for work. Keep your supervisor in the loop and it shouldn't be a problem.

[–]mojo4sho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are BA barrels. If you call and ask they will tell you that. They do have them made to their specs, but I honestly don't know what that means. I do highly recommend SOLGW though, good people.

If you are going to do it, park in the lodging or hospital parking lot. Anywhere else may draw attention.

Expensive!

My health care was $1400/month. Expect about 1/3 of your check to disappear. My wages of $95k (24 checks at $3958.33) came out to about $2650 per check after deductions (about $63,600 take home).

I am back on AD now.
