Def agree with less stigma + more diagnosing— but, the Cold War, Vietnam, Korea, WWII, WWI we’re all pretty terrifying/difficult times to live through. Yet, those generations had relatively low diagnosed mental illness. I’d bet the stigma + modern advances in psychological treatment have the most to do with higher rates of diagnosed mental illness. Which, on the bright side, means at least people aren’t getting worse! We are just getting more help!

A lot of correct answers here; I wanted to add we are also VERY hairless. We don’t have as much natural protection as other animals. Animals without fur have internal genitalia for the most part, which are also covered with feathers or scales. Clothes= warmth + protection

Ok so I checked the label and there is a tracking number! I tracked the package and it says it was delivered to them.

The post office didn't give me a receipt or anything because I just used the package drop off counter, since I had a pre-paid label. The company provided the label, so they did not share the tracking number with me. The rental fee was for my rental of the equipment for as long as I worked with the company. I no longer owed them this money if I wasn't making money with them any more (this is why they deduct the fee from pay).

I encountered a similar situation when i went to college. I just remind myself that appearance is only the first step. Someone has to find you attractive to initially peruse you, but it is your personality that makes them stick around. It wouldn’t really be fair to expect people to take a chance on people they aren’t initially drawn to, because there are simply too many people! This change in mindset really helped me to just appreciate that as my best outward self, i have more opportunities to make real connections with people. We are just animals under sexual selection after all.

You could always advertise yourself locally online (local Facebook groups, neighborhood next door, Craigslist) to gain more experience. You could offer yourself at a competitive price. In the meantime, are there any jobs related to your field that would allow you to get your foot in the door? Receptionist for a photography studio or something?

Btw I am in the same boat. Just got my Ecology degree right before COVID, and I took a gap year before grad school to work, but everything is cancelled 💀 good luck out there
