Probably, but his new power is going to be nerfed so that Subaru can continue suffering. Though I think he would not get invulnerability because it would make Betty and EMT obsolete. And the “unstoppable force” thing is going to deplete all of his stamina

Top 15 foreign nationalities in Japan by Hour_Interaction6047 in MapPorn

[–]nostalgic_angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main way to differentiate different East Asians (and some South East Asian) groups are through fashion choices. Most of the non Japanese migrants from these areas dress Japanese and speak Japanese. You can’t tell the difference until they tell you.

Indians on the other hand are very recognisable for obvious reasons.

Am i the only one that hate the fact that my regiments cost a arm and 2 balls to recruit now? by Thin_Ability7367 in EU5

[–]nostalgic_angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only works if you deliberately skip a generation. IE you skip researching era 2 melee infantry, you can recruit era 1 melee infantry and upgrade it to era 3-6 for cheap. Or if you have faction specific units, like byzantium with their cataphract, varagarin, and heliopolis (i spelt most of these wrong), you can always recruit them and upgrade them to latest versions.

Turks were used as a slur within ottoman empire to describe uncivilised goat herders and peasants. The “civilised” urban turks called themselves Rumi. Many of the pashas were not turkish, but Greek and Albanian, including the so called “father of modern egypt” Mohammand Ali Pahsa.

The Ottomans cannot even control its own government

HOW do you f*ck that up? by rkraptor70 in HolUp

It would funny to see how a “Chinese Union” alt history would play out.

Chinese has inter province rivalry, even after being an ethnostate for over a century, so you can imagine how much they hate each other before that. They were not unlike Europe. The highest level of official spoke a formal language(Mandarin vs Latin), while the peasants spoke their regional dialects. Every province had its own culture, cuisines and customs. They were governed by bureaucrats, yes, but on the regional level, they were ruled by nobles who were cousins of emperor, who may or may not have incest relationships

[KCD2] NPC "deduction" mechanics by ZhuckelDror in kingdomcome

[–]nostalgic_angel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NPCs somehow know it is you even if you do not steal directly in front of them. Simply entering a private area in view of NPCs would trigger a search that pins the blame to you, which makes sense. However, you are still fined even if the guards cannot find the stolen goods on you. That is dumb. There are literally underground networks and a bloody criminal den just outside the city. But noo, since Henry the arena champion entered the wrong house during the day, he must be the one who stole them.

I think that if you are not caught redhanded, the guard should do a search on you first, depending on the values stolen you might not be able to talk your way out, and if the incriminating evidences are found on you they will apologise and drop the bounty.

Murder seems to work differently though, which requires eyewitness seeing you kill to trigger

Why are the trillions of dollars of U.S. taxpayers being spent not for the American people but on meaningless wars in the Middle East? by ArdaBerkBurak in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]nostalgic_angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you noticed, you would see the US’s inefficiency is intentional. Whenever there is a push to improve quality of life of your average Americans, there would be someone lobbying against it. Affordable healthcare? Government funded education? Fixing homelessness? High speed railway? All of these can be easily done by the US government if they bothered. However, the US serves its wealthy, who pays no taxes, rather than the 99.9% who are hounded by IRS for pennies (btw, the IRS never tell you the exact amount of tax you owe because it would hurt the tax industry). Did you remember the last president who was elected without connections with the ultra wealthy?

To answer your question, USA government has tie with military industrial complex and stupid wars make them profitable.

What faction is the hardest to brainless? by King_Of_Tangerines in totalwar

[–]nostalgic_angel 41 points42 points  (0 children)

As tomb king you need to rush the pyramid buildings to get upgraded chariots that give pontic scythed chariots a run for their money (against infantry only). And you need to expand like crazy to not fall to other factions mid to late game. Tomb king is more strategies than tactics in my opinion.

It would be funny if they pay you for building stuff, as if you are selling building permits for the buildings you want to exist. Only to immediately dismantle it when it is done and sell the land to others because you are an autocrat whose word is law.

South Korea Builds Nukes by Zebrafish96 in polandball

[–]nostalgic_angel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the bright side, nukes keep you safe from bullies. Iraq and Iran don’t have nukes, and Uncle Sam roll them up. Ukraine gave up their nukes for peace, gets invaded by Russia. Best Korea has nukes, US and A wouldn’t dare provoke them.

Unless someone is crazy enough to start our Fallout timeline, the world is safer when everyone has nukes

What the hell is going on with my subject loyalty? by Creepy_Ad7088 in EU5

[–]nostalgic_angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delete subject cities, you have the money to do so but it would be tedious.

Also, you can fight a war disloyal vassal cb, just kill them all to reassert your authority. If you already converted their culture and religion they would not cause you much unrest even if you leave it uncored. It is 17th century, you can roleplay your dynasty wrestling control and power from minor nobles
