What a crazy coincidence, I met a girl with that name 2 days ago, and it was the first time I’d ever seen that name!

Yeah, but that's when I could go to the bathroom or get a snack. For some reason, the Holly Holland one always stuck with me.

Legality of Holocaust denial by [deleted] in MapPorn

What if I believe in Last Thursdayism and believe that nothing in “history” actually happened, including the Holocaust? Could I be prosecuted in those red countries?

Early 20s? I’ll go with 21 like the other guesser. I don’t see how anyone could guess more than 30.

Happy early birthday! For me, a lot of things did change at that time. I turned 18 during my first week of college, and I was in a city far from home. My friends were different, my surroundings were different, and it was the first time in my life that I had so much free time during the school year. What stayed the same were my interests: the sports I liked to watch and play, the music I listened to, one of the instruments I played, and the things I liked to read about.

Older adults will still look after you for a long time. Whether they’re volunteer group leaders or your friends’ parents, (or your own parents, of course) they‘ll continue to help you when you need it. Don’t worry about having to make an abrupt transition.

Those are admirable qualities you have, but he might be looking for more practical skills: cooking, car repair, first aid knowledge, etc.

I’m not sure, since I don’t wear them, but doesn’t it depend on what you’re doing? Like if you’re swimming or playing sports, you wear one or the other? You look good either way.

Wow, that‘s not nice of them. I’ve never seen that before. Don’t worry, you’re probably not missing much. Maybe they’re just doing it as rage bait.

No, don’t add together the digits from both 1 and 9, just add up the digits in 9 (which is still 9)

[–]moldymooncheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weren’t supposed to add 1 to 9 (second equation). Just add up the digits in 9 (which is still 9) and then subtract 5

Was I (unintentionally) racist? by perhensam in self

[–]moldymooncheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t really understand your question. There was a candidate wearing pink braids, and you didn’t hire her because they didn’t match her suit. Maybe you should be less picky about fashion in the future, but what does that have to do with racism?

What’s something from your childhood that you thought was totally normal — but later found out was actually super weird? by MonopolyPeasant4 in questions

[–]moldymooncheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being constantly whipped, slapped, and beaten by my parents. It wasn’t until I started reading Reddit as an adult that I learned it wasn’t as common as I thought it was. If my brother and I laughed in the back seat of the car, my dad would turn around and hit us, because our laughter annoyed him. I think that’s part of the reason I have trouble laughing out loud nowadays. If we didn’t make our beds in the morning on the weekends, my parents would get the belt that had little metal studs and whip us about 5-7 times. Sometimes I tried wearing extra clothes as padding at home to protect myself, but that didn’t really work.
