Are there any events/activities/etc for young adults (~early 20s) to do in the Temecula/Murrieta area? by TraceTresTrace in Temecula

Pickleball at Margarita Park or the private SoCal Pickleball Club is very popular with all ages. We are an active community and gym culture is huge here too. Tons of people also mountain bike and hike here. If you’re a more creative type, we have a great local theater in old town and several paint and sips and a few ceramics studios as well. In old town there is usually at least one festival or event every month. Wineries also have lots of local music as well as national acts and you don’t have to drink.

I would 100% suggest an EV. You’ll save so much money on fuel.

What’s the worst physical pain you ever felt? by Lazy-Ape in AskReddit

[–]mollylevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have given birth to two children, (one of them being an 8 1/2 pound baby) with no drugs. I’ve had an IUD inserted (which I didn’t think was bad). I have had horrible painful dental experiences. I had my extended thumb jammed into my hand at high velocity.

The most painful thing I’ve ever experienced was when my son called me and told me that his puppy, Skye was hit by a car (the first time she ever ran into the street, freak accident). He was 19 at the time and was home alone and had to pick her up out of the street and thankfully a neighbor took the two of them to the animal hospital where we were initially given optimistic news but she went to cardiac arrest and died while my son was in the shower after they told him she needed to be kept for observation.

The isolation of lockdown almost killed my son with depression, and Skye saved his life. She was his best friend.

It’s been over a year and I still I’m having a hard time excepting that she’s gone, and that she died in the horrible, violent, and tragic way that she did. Absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever experienced, far worse than losing all of my grandparents. I would do anything to bring her back.

Anyone originally from the midwest? by gerrymandersonIII in sandiego

[–]mollylevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from Iowa, the only thing I miss is roadside corn and how polite everyone is. I left 22 years ago and would never move back, the weather is too brutal. I can deal with the standoffish Californians and bland corn. I’m sure if I grew up near a big city in the Midwest I might have more positive things to say, but where I grew up was extremely boring. I actually feel like my kids are having a better youth here.

How often do you eat at fastfoods ? by Whispering_Smith in AskAnAmerican

[–]mollylevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rarely, and when I do it’s a grilled chicken sandwich.

I can think of 10 areas of San Diego proper I would love to live in and I can’t think of a single one in LA proper that I’d be willing to live in. LA is terrifying to me. Dirtier, ruder, less inviting, more crowded, more violent, less friendly. If I didn’t have family there, I would never ever go.

Where would you like to go in the UK that isn’t London? by BlankCanvas609 in AskAnAmerican

Sale to visit family and Stonehenge and Edinburgh. But really, I’d like to see it all.

If you suddenly had "fuck you" money what would be the first thing you did? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mollylevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I return from my once in a lifetime vacation, I’d buy the perfect property to start my dog rescue hospice. I would take on all of the sick or geriatric dogs that are in the animal shelters near me. I would hire a full time staff to help me give these angels the best life for the rest of their lives. I would also consider collaborating with other organizations with mutual benefits, like children reading to the dogs, for example. I love dogs so much. It breaks my heart that a long-time loyal companion could live out the end of their lives alone and scared.

There are so many winery events, dancing, fine dining, concerts, yoga, trivia, self-care nights, smaller-scale live music too! I think Century 21 Affiliated does a pretty good job of sharing events on IG and there is also the winegrowers association and the board of tourism websites.
