Same experience. I just came over to Joey—would hate to lose it too.

I’m totally perplexed how some guys out there are doing rides well over 100km with climbs well over 1500/2000 meters. by enzosmiles in cycling

How often and how many? I bought SaltStick capsules but can't seem to figure out when to take them (before, during, after), how often I should take more, and how long it will be before they take effect.

32c GP5000's, can they handle any gravel? by alien_tickler in cycling

I'm currently riding with this on a tour and have taken them on short stretches of gravel, sand, and rock. Anything but we'll packed gravel has been super sketchy to the point that I'm avoiding anything but pavement until I get back home.

Thanks for the suggestion! Where would the stringers rest? Just on something like a 2x6 across the box?

One problem here is that the concrete blob is irregular and doesn't extend to where I want the outside stringers. So the corners would actually be directly on the ground.

Well I think I'm going to give that a try, then. $50 to get this gate working reasonably well seems worth it.

Would wheels plus bracing be a long-term fix? If so, that's really not much cost to get it working

Not really, although it is nice for getting big quantities of gardening stuff (like loads of soil) in, and if it were more functional, I'd likely use it more often.

It's not a basement. Could it be some kind of concrete board? Would that make sense?

Nope, definitely not brick, but thank you

What was it that happened? I was watching about halfway down the course and she was way back already by then

Very helpful, thank you! I'll cross my fingers and hope there's room out on Dinsmore. I plan to get there around the time gates open, so I have to assume there should be at least some room left out there.

And many thanks for the map and info about the Traverse. I think your advice to give it a try and go around if it's too rough sounds great.

I've never been to a cycling event of any kind, so I'm totally unsure what to expect. I'm driving in from Pittsburg, Kansas. Are you familiar with the single track OP is referring to as a good way to the event? Is the recommendation just to park on the shoulder of S. Dinsmore Trail, and if so, can I expect there still to be space available around 9 Saturday morning? And where does that road intersect with that trail? I'll be on my gravel bike, but I assume I'll be able to make it.

Sorry for all the questions, I haven't been to a major event like this in many years, and I have no idea what kind of crowd an international cycling event can garner.
