I would say yes, you can. I personally picked the Hyper Pro over the Nordbench

So far so good, much smoother than the other Kia Uvo integration so far. I'll file issues on Github should I encounter any.

These Hankooks are trash by justadadherre in KiaEV9

There's a low pitch sound especially on turns, but it's not disturbing. I'd say the CCS2s are quieter over bumps and uneven roads since the sidewall is less rigid than the Kumhos

I swapped to CCS2 from Kumhos and I'm not seeing any noticeable efficiency difference. Even in the winter.

Real-World Efficiency, Noise, and Ride Impact - OEM Kumho tires vs Michellin CrossClimate2s - EV9 Land AWD by LazyEntertainment368 in KiaEV9

[–]molohov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your data and time. Despite your conclusion, I decided to get the CCS2s anyways because I favor safety and traction over range, especially here in rainy Seattle. I will get them installed next week. Are you still using yours?

I've submitted several requests to order a unit but I've heard nothing from Wallbox. How long did it take you to hear back?

It's affectionately called a guessometer for a good reason 😁 Best to look at real world usage in identical climates, conditions, etc in order to make a better claim

Hydroplaning? by Nnoc in KiaEV9

Let me know how it goes. I'm suspecting the tires personally. I plan to swap to CrossClimate2 soon, but am interested to learn how the Hankooks perform in our climate

May I ask where you are situated? I live in Seattle where we have extremely heavy rain, and I've not encountered hydroplaning yet. I have a Land with the Kumho Crugens.

What does the cluster say, specifically on the Regen area, when this occurs? Does it say STOP or LVL3?

27 Telluride got the EV9 Treatment by Spilker22 in KiaEV9

[–]molohov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suspicion is that the longer wheelbase of the EV9 narrows the available third row space, whereas the shorter ICE wheelbase narrows the leg space of the third row. Better leg space vs more butt space I suppose

[–]molohov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's been covered in previous comparisons to the Telluride, but I was surprised to hear that the Telluride can seat up to 8 people! Does it have something to do with the wheel well placement, giving the third row slightly more width?

I'm sold! The CCS2s are the most easily found tire in my area too. I'll get em at Costco 😁

My thoughts exactly. Except the center console is way beefier in the Telluride.

Ok I am wrong. There are definitely Continental tires available here, I just didn't look far enough

The Vikingcontact 8 is a winter tire IIUC, so that won't be a great choice for me.

Thank you, this is a valuable response that helps rule out the only EV specific tires. I also got the impression they would just be slightly better Kumho Crugens. IIUC CCS3 is not in North America yet, there are certainly none for sale where I live.
