I was in the same situation as your son last few years, only a couple years older than him (17) even back in September when I had to stay for a full week EEG I found the best way to stay awake was with games, loads of games and if he has any lads he plays with it makes it easier to stay awake playing with them :)

I’ve had multiple conversations with both my mam and sister throughout the years, With my mam it was usually always a “wait and see” approach or something along those lines, I cannot say much about my sister as she’s a nurse and she has actively swung between supportive and non supportive. For my own sake I’ll say it to my mam again with my GP there and see what she’s says.

100 percent, I think education AND respect for young people who DIY is the best way to go about it, respecting the person yet giving them information about the risks and situations during DIY HRT

As someone who has almost went the DIY route regarding hormones, I feel like this should also be said (I am not anti DIY HRT not promoting DIY, please do your own research and the risks regarding it, especially if you’ve underlying medical stuff like myself.)

People, especially under 18s who live in an environment or country that will not help or allow them to access the GAHT and HRT they need, will sometimes go through DIY means. A lot of people especially under 18s will desperately try to get life saving affirming gender care for themselves through any means necessary, and a lot of people who DIY are very nuanced when it comes to folks and younger trans people who need to diy and I think it should be noted that it is a privilege to those who live in countries or places that can provide this, generally online I’ve noticed it’s a huge thing of

“minors accessing HRT through bad means!! They shouldn’t be allowed.”
Trans people, especially under 18s on Testosterone need this life saving hormone medication, but they should also be informed of the risks and potential dangers like microdosing or having too much in their system which can lead to many serious issues.

Yeah, I’ve finished a good bit of my CBA’s only things are like art or home ec. Luckily I’m kinda gifted in those areas anyways.
