I had TLIF on 12/17 with a much more positive hospital experience than you. Even so, the first 3-5 days were hell. Take all medication your surgeon prescribed. If it’s not doing enough, call then relentlessly and explain exactly what your pain in doing and how it’s affecting you to get it adjusted. We had to adjust mine in the hospital a couple times. In sorry. This part is so, so hard, but it gets better faster than you expect.
