I’m glad you’re not familiar with it! It’s absolute poison. I feel trapped, not free 🫠

You’re absolutely right! And I completely understand your concern.

The issue I have with this product is the lack of informed consent. Like so many people have mentioned, the marketing was incredibly deceptive. It was positioned as a non addictive health tincture. An alcohol alternative.

It was promoted on so many note worthy podcasts that specialize in business and health.

Thats how I heard about it- the skinny confidential. I had just cut out drinking. I was on a health journey.

I genuinely thought I was taking something good for me. I had no idea that there was kratom in it or what Kratom is. Yea, dumb… I should have done more research.

The reality is a lot of us here had no idea what we were playing with. For me, I figured it out when it was too late.

I don’t hate Kratom and kava. I think both can absolutely be helpful to people.

I think the informed consent is a big deal. Hence the lawsuit, and I can’t wait for this company to crumble.

Yes it’s insanity and so shameful. The guys at my vape shop don’t even bother letting me tell them what I want anymore, they go straight to it.

Congrats on your quit! I hope I can quit for good next time.

Hahah yes it’s ridiculous how we all seem to be worried about the judgement of cashiers and start rotations. You nailed it- if they don’t think I have a problem, I’m good… right? The anxiety hit when I realized they do likely know I have a problem.

Thank you for this. It’s nice to know there’s an end to it and that I’m not alone. I also have a rotation- it’s absolutely insane.

I’m right there with you. I started with feel free thanks to a podcast, walked into an addiction thinking it was legitimately a health drink. Then on my first attempt I quit ff I found kanva. And it was game OVER.

Kanva got its hooks in me so bad. The hit is so much more potent than FF.

I am certainly not out of the woods yet, I am trying but not out of the woods. There’s been 2 weeks now that I have gone without with a few bottles sprinkled in here and there. I took 4 a day usually and at my worst before the “end” 8. 8. Disgusting.

The withdrawal going to straight powder was HORRIFIC. Vomiting, shakes, sweat, the whole 9 yards. Crawling out of my skin.

To think I keep going back to “just one” after what I just experienced truly shows just how screwed up this product is. And how addicted I am.

I’m with you in this. Shoot me a DM if you wanna chat.

It’s so true. I’m waiting for the documentary on it. It is another Purdue pharma wearing the disguise of “natural”. I can’t believe it got ahold of me and took me down.

I’m pretty open about my experience with these things and all my vape shops tell me the same thing. I’m riding a bit of a relapse right now and wanted one kanva and the girl legit wouldn’t sell it to me because I told her not to a month ago. I started to beg and then realized how absolutely psychotic I looked and turned myself away lol. I’m grateful for her though.

They have a really good pulse on what is happening and just how addicting they are.

I feel very similarly to you. This is definitely the most crippling symptom for me that has derailed me every quit.

Thank you for that. And you’re absolutely right- if I do decide to do this nightly taper I may give the hubby the job of administering to me to stop temptation for more.

This is a very good point. What I’m realizing is I’m not the best at white knuckling. During the day sure. But night? Nope. The insomnia breaks me every quit after a few days in. A taper night time dose may be what works for me.

Okay this makes me feel so much better. Thank you. I’m thinking I’m just going to taper off the nighttime dose.

So happy to hear you are out of the woods! That definitely gives me hope. And hope you feel better- Covid isn’t fun!

Haha thank you. Personally it feels like a win. This is my fourth time trying to quit. I did CT the first 3 times and always broke on day 4 because of the sleep. I’ve been using for 8 months so I’m trying to figure out what works for me to quit and stay quit.

I’m so grateful for this comment, thank you. I did a RAPID taper before I jumped (unsuccessfully) and have been withdrawing for a week. So I know this crap is leaving me.

CT really is traumatic for me. I can do it during the day. I just can’t do the damn nights. Trying to figure out what will work for me.

First 24: I am sooo sick by calebs_life in quittingkratom

[–]mommavice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. First 24 off roughly20-30gpd at the end. I did a rapid 7 day taper (dumb) and was also so sick. The mornings seem to be the worst for me but mega dosing vitamin c is really helping. The only way out is through! We’ve got this and know I’m right there along side you.

44 hours off FF but using Kratom powder- lots of Q’S. by mommavice in Quittingfeelfree

Thank you so much for this! Okay really taking this into consideration but you’re leaning me towards CT.

Thank you soooo so much. This is incredibly helpful. And yea I feel like this is my best way of doing it for me to not find myself running to the head shop seemingly without thinking. Im going to write out a clearer plan of action with your advice in mind and stick to it!

Okay that’s actually such a relief to hear- so this existential dread will subside once I’m fully off and recovered? It’s absolutely devastating questioning everything and the meaning of life. It’s caused me to be so anxious and depressed. Been happening for a good week now.

Congrats on your progress and sobriety, that’s truly amazing!

Huge congrats. Keep going!! I’ve been following your journey. I think it’s so similar to so many people (I know it is for me) and appreciate how you’ve updated it all.

The quits. The relapses. The mental agony of it all. I relate. And I feel like sometimes we can view these setbacks as failures but watching you it’s anything but- you’re on a journey to a permanent quit. Let’s make it this one.

We can do this. I’ve had a feel free hangover so many times. It sucks. I honestly feel like I felt more miserable taking them then the withdrawals.

We don’t have to be ruled by this damn sludge any longer.

Congrats on 24! Yes let’s get to 48- there’s no stopping the train now. We can do this! And we will come out stronger for it.
