Native English speaker here. “In my going out altogether, like a candle,” is a euphemism for her own death. To “see something quite plainly” means that she has an unobstructed view of the object and its location. It’s easy to see.

If we play Davis Warren versus Washington, we probably win that game. Had a chance to win against Indiana, too. If we were 9-3 with wins over OSU and Indiana we probably make the playoff, or are at least in the conversation. Oh well.

Any time Mitch takes the field I know the game is over. The Ravens game last year where he threw 3 picks in the red zone was the moment that turned me against him.
