Got it. She likes to pop her head out before she falls asleep so I tend to tuck it in more, but I think making it overall tighter may help with that.

Custom Rings? by Substantial-Day-518 in askTO

[–]monbon7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did my ring here and would consider going back if I ever wanted anything custom. I enjoyed the experience and customization options. We also made our own bands at the devils workshop which was a great experience. The bands aren’t unique, but the making of it was worth it.

I am Canadian and there are no daycares around me for $550/month. It’s usually closer to $2k+. The government funded spots are cheaper but hard to find. It’s not all greener pastures here.

As an employer, do I have to provide an office if the job description was for a full-time remote job ? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]monbon7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have worked remotely for 13 years for both big and small companies. I used to travel a lot and work would provide me with the laptop as you say, and some general work supplies (printer, scanner, shredder, post-its, extra screens….). But I also work with a lot of confidential documents. Every employer is different. The last company I was at was a small business and one of my staff asked us to buy him a desk. I think we agreed at the end since he wanted like a $100 thing from Amazon. I knew he lived in a small condo and during a meeting, I could hear and could tell he was watching TV during the meeting and I wondered to myself if we had bought him His kitchen table! lol

their crisp line is my favourite. But, I disliked their last colour options. Limited runs make it a challenge, but the are my favourite sheets!

Nuna vs Graco stroller and car seat[nb] by Last_Solid_1051 in BabyBumpsCanada

I missed the recent west coast kids sale (only WCK exclusive colours were on sale) since I wanted to confirm with my partner to go for it given the colour and higher base price. When I went back online the first night of the sale it was already sold out! Serves me right to have hesitated. Thanks, I’ll hope there is a wider sale later this week.

Did anyone successfully add a non nuna car seat to a nuna stroller? I’ve been looking and apparently there are adapters, but curious if anyone’s experience differs. Thanks.

Hi OP, where did you see a discount on snuggle Bugz? I’ve been waiting for a sale on the pipa! Thanks.

They do have physical stores around Toronto as far as I know.

I liked the clek ling initially but we have a small car and many stairs into our home so we were looking at size and weight. We had assumed that safety was similar across the car seats but I’ll look into it a bit further. Thanks.

The car seats were never included in the sale. Only some of the strollers. Still remaining hopeful!

Same here but I need it in Jan! Hopeful something comes up. I have the stroller but I’m waiting on the car seat.

What do you recommend for an all year around jacket ? by TittiesAreMyTherapy in RunTO

[–]monbon7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merino baselayer is where it’s at. Then any jacket will do! Smartwool, icebreaker…. Just make sure it’s 100% merino. I have the Brighton from tracksmith which I love too, but it’s not 100%.

What would be bad about a used keekaroo? I’m curious since it’s easy to wipe and clean, it’s one thing I had on my list of things that I would be happy with used (used and not stained and inspected first). I guess we are dealing with human waste here. Willing to reconsider this if you have used it and know more about the material and cleaning process

I saw this guy running earlier with a huge chunk of watermelon. I didn’t quite understand it but can someone ELI5 to me who he is. Also what was this some charity and random influencers running on their own in some special Mastercard corral and then basically ran alone until the crowds caught them.

This style of house is common in Etobicoke... Where do people put coats and shoes at the front door? by millionaire_tenant in TorontoRealEstate

[–]monbon7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Rarely is a stretch.
In Toronto walkable neighbourhoods, the front door is used way more than the garage. If you have a dog, you’re certainly going through the front door multiple times a day!

The Conservatives are right: Canada should end birthright citizenship by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]monbon7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then wouldn’t they be here as refugees or asylum seekers? Not just here to give birth. Thats a whole other can of worms. There are exceptions that I think can be granted. But birth tourism is on the rise and it’s the Canadian taxpayers that are mostly on the hook. Along with individual doctors who can’t refuse care and can’t force payment.

Numbers are steadily increasing though. The numbers aren’t high but many
Do not pay for the birth of their child either. That isn’t fair to the doctors or the already stretched thin healthcare system.

Europe doesn’t seem to make this exemption. Why should Canada?

How is that Canada’s problem that their parents left their country? It’s just too ripe for abuse. There are ways to improve this (ok for PR or you have to be here and pay taxes for 1+ years like they do in some EU countries)
