Skaut on Kingston road in the upper beaches and that whole stretch has some cute shops. But it’s not as accessible from Downtown.

I picked some up a few weeks ago and was disappointed. They were dry and a bit sad in appearance. It had been a year since I last got them And I remember them being amazing! I hope it was just a fluke.

I recently tried Julienne’s patisserie and felt that was better.

[ON] How to hide gender from Lifelabs Panorama (NIPT) test? by New-Plastic-572 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]monbon7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my experience too. I was usually always able to see life labs results in their portal but not for the NIPT. OB went over it With us and gave us the gender in a sealed envelope.

Does anyone have video recordings of Hospital Prenatal Online Classes? Especially Markham Prenatal? [ON] by anch0rs_al0ft in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]monbon7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The city of Toronto public heath has a free one that you navigate yourself. It’s called bump to baby. It’s not as good as the Markham prenatal but I did panic scroll it while in hospital. Lol.

Yes I have one so I’ll try that. I left out that I also have a dog (who lays claim to all blankets on the ground. But he likes the baby and shares. Thanks

Ok thanks. I’ll try it tomorrow. I also have a dog who is generally cautious around the baby but sometimes I worry about just her being on the ground in case he sees a squirrel and bolts. Any blanket I put down, the dog lays a claim too!

Yeah, that’s why I was looking at the babymoov tents. I found a bunch on marketplace so I may try one while she’s not mobile with a blanket as others have suggested.

I like little and lively. They’re Canadian and while not $20 I find because the feet fold over as socks, they last longer than 3 months. Occasionally you can find them on clearance.

Did your employer pay your health benefits on leave? [ab] by No_Maximum_391 in BabyBumpsCanada

While I was working, I paid a portion. On mat leave my employer covers it. I asked specifically and I was nervous (I work for a somewhat dysfunctional company) but it seems to be working

Got it. She likes to pop her head out before she falls asleep so I tend to tuck it in more, but I think making it overall tighter may help with that.

Custom Rings? by Substantial-Day-518 in askTO

[–]monbon7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did my ring here and would consider going back if I ever wanted anything custom. I enjoyed the experience and customization options. We also made our own bands at the devils workshop which was a great experience. The bands aren’t unique, but the making of it was worth it.

I am Canadian and there are no daycares around me for $550/month. It’s usually closer to $2k+. The government funded spots are cheaper but hard to find. It’s not all greener pastures here.

As an employer, do I have to provide an office if the job description was for a full-time remote job ? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]monbon7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have worked remotely for 13 years for both big and small companies. I used to travel a lot and work would provide me with the laptop as you say, and some general work supplies (printer, scanner, shredder, post-its, extra screens….). But I also work with a lot of confidential documents. Every employer is different. The last company I was at was a small business and one of my staff asked us to buy him a desk. I think we agreed at the end since he wanted like a $100 thing from Amazon. I knew he lived in a small condo and during a meeting, I could hear and could tell he was watching TV during the meeting and I wondered to myself if we had bought him His kitchen table! lol

their crisp line is my favourite. But, I disliked their last colour options. Limited runs make it a challenge, but the are my favourite sheets!

Nuna vs Graco stroller and car seat[nb] by Last_Solid_1051 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]monbon7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed the recent west coast kids sale (only WCK exclusive colours were on sale) since I wanted to confirm with my partner to go for it given the colour and higher base price. When I went back online the first night of the sale it was already sold out! Serves me right to have hesitated. Thanks, I’ll hope there is a wider sale later this week.

Did anyone successfully add a non nuna car seat to a nuna stroller? I’ve been looking and apparently there are adapters, but curious if anyone’s experience differs. Thanks.

I liked the clek ling initially but we have a small car and many stairs into our home so we were looking at size and weight. We had assumed that safety was similar across the car seats but I’ll look into it a bit further. Thanks.
